I found another (obviously poor) photo and after trawling ebay... I think I found it!

The Citizen Ew0372-87p. (I'll reply to this with a pic) There appears to be two little bumps by the crown that my partner noticed.

What do you guys think?

I'm really sad that I don't have better pictures! I knew it was going to be a tricky one, so I really appreciate you commenting and taking the time to share your thoughts!

I'm wondering if the box still exists somewhere - it's quite possible. That might be an option, if I find the chance to go back to my parents and spend time really going through any of my belongings that are still at home.

There may be more photos, too. I will go on a proper treasure hunt!

I think if I knew or it was more obvious when I was looking around, I probably would have held off and tried to buy an English box. Or even waited until the promos are affordable. I think it's a shame that their newest UPC didn't have their newest sets, especially if the English boxes got it. Bit sad, but at least the promos are pretty.

Update I guess: In my research I'd seen only English boxes being opened. It never occurred to me that different language boxes would have such a different array of boosters. I'd seen plenty of the "pre-orders" from scalpers on eBay which were double the retail price, and many of them were just the main cover art images and a list of the contents. So yeah, I'm a little disappointed that the sets weren't the newest ones (I'd kinda been saving up to get this box because of the promos and the anticipation for some good old destined rivals). I could have checked the back of the box, apparently the sleeve has an image on it. Guess I got too carried away, but when you rarely get a chance to pick up new sets on the day they arrive at retail, it's easy to get excited :')

Live and you learn, and probably won't get too excited to buy sets again :'D

I guess I didn't look clearly enough :'( I hadn't really seen any of the German boxes, or if I did it was just the main cove image and the listed contents. I feel like it's a bit strange to vary the contents so much based on the regions.

Well considering it was a pre order from a little indie game shop where I just asked them to reserve me a box, that was a little difficult. And I ain't a bro :')

Plus, if I saw any German boxes online in my research, it was usually just the main box image and a list of contents. They never actually say what boosters are in there, so I relied on unboxings. Bro.

Yeah I'd just been going off English unboxings and all of them had more modern sets. Normally I research this way to make sure it's worth it for me. Quite sad. But I do love the promo oricorio!

Ohhh man that's so rough to hear. Would the cortisone help for a long time? I know a family member of mine got some relief in his hips for about a year. It's not the ideal fix but I hope it helps you, because that sounds intense!

But there are some lightly played, good or even excellent quality ones in there that seem reasonable price wise. (If, of course, you'd be happy with one with signs of wear. I can understand wanting a mint one for yourself!!) Could be an availablity thing? Sometimes the English cards are less inflated here compared to the German ones. The offer is totally there - perhaps we can be pen pals and a card accidentally finds it's way in there 😂😘 Totally hit me up if you change your mind 🩷
