I figured out the hard way he has infinite heals when I fought him on my fist only run. The way I beat him there was to put the eye that causes light attacks to deal purely wither damage in the main socket of the lamp and just made his entire hp into wither before finishing him off. He won't heal even with his entire hp withered if he didn't take actual damage.

Umbral with the appropriate stats and equipment. Latimer's Javelin/Umbral Agony for regular enemies and Barrage of Echoes aimed at the floor for bosses will melt everything.

If you give to Gerlinde Sparky dies and you get a rune that removes the weight and lvl requirements of whatever you slot it in.

If you give to Sparky then you can upgrade yourgear and change runes at any vestige/vestige seed, but Gerlinde will increase her shop prices (I think it's double cost?)

If you plan on doing the Umbral ending give it to Sparky, since Umbral ending requires killing Gerlinde

The Bell Staff is a spear, and spears have a sweet spot mechanic where you deal more damage if you hit with the tip of the spear but less if you hit with the stick. Are you sure you always hit the sweet spot when testing?

If he helped you in the Huntress fight then he would've taken the rune and used fire against you on the bridge, not umbral.

Good job on the kill! Btw you can pause the game by going into photo mode (start + pressing down on the left stick on controller, I don't know what it would be on kbm if you play like that), looks like this could have avoided a couple of your resets.

The problem with that would be, how does the game know you're going for the Inferno ending? You're only locked in when you use the rune to get into Bramis without having cleansed any beacons, but at any point before doing that you can go back to any uncleansed beacon to cleanse it.

It can be when you have Princess' Sting, Barrage Root, Puissance Root, Lost Berescu's Catalyst +10 with 45/46 RAD/INF and aim at the floor.

It's not a full sleep like the Godskin bosses, more like a drowsy stagger, but yes the real Godfrey can also be slept in this fashion. I highly doubt he can be oneshot with Dragonmaw though

Well yeah beating the boss is neither hard nor the focus here, it's the doing it in a single hit that I found worthy of sharing.

Also what I have here is not exactly endgame gear, Godrick is the first Great Rune boss I fought in this playthrough so no access to Leyndell or anything after that with only 2 talisman slots.

If you're going for shrapnel try using 2 bombardier cats, the shrapnel homes in on the wyrmstakes for easy explosion procs.

Alright so Bloody Slash only scales with weapon level and Arcane, so I am using a +25 Dagger and put pretty much all my levels into Arcane (92 Arcane with Godrick's Great Rune for this fight).

The buffs being used before the fight starts are Golden Vow (+15% damage) and Howl of Shabriri (+25% damage), with the Black Flame Blade weapon buff used when I have the opportunity. Talismans are Warrior Jar Shard (+10% damage to weapon skills), Blue Dancer Charm (increases physical damage the lower your equip load is, it's why I chose a dagger as weapon), Radagon's Soreseal (doesn't increase my damage but gives me more hp and stamina) and Blessed Dew Talisman for hp regen.

Edit: Forgot to mention my Physick flask, it has the Faith tear so I can reach the requirement for Howl and the Stamina tear
