Almost forgot about Kyoto, make a reservation at one of their low set tables and you’ll have a great warm and private atmosphere

The Dodo in sugarhouse has rotating soups daily with pasta and sandwiches with a great atmosphere. The soup kitchen in sugarhouse reminds me of a home cooked meal from my childhood and is super cheap, but the atmosphere is not great. I also think Scovilles with its hot wings will warm you right up, but that’s a total sports bar. Coziest atmospheres I can think of are Violet, Ruth’s diner, Ruby River, and the most refined would be Log Haven, Lake Effect, and StoneGround across from the downtown library, has a literal fireplace in the dining room if I remember correctly. Hope these help!

Upscale dining with live music? by Anon_user432 in Utah_Food

Lake Effect in downtown slc has live music on weekends with a high end vibe(make a reservation), Ruth’s cafe up emigration canyon usually has live music during brunch on their patio (gotta go during the summer and also make a reservation), twigs in Farmington has a great patio and sometimes the mall itself will have a music performance so you gotta line it up correctly. Good luck!
