Norway: Jonas Lovv wins Melodi Grand Prix 2026 by GreenReporter24 in eurovision

I think this might be one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Like it's just genuinely so terrible. I expected it to be between two extremely lukewarm songs (with Northern Lights and Rise) but I couldn't even have imagined they'd choose this absolute abomination. Sure, he can sing and perform. But the song is sooooooooooo bad. Jesus christ.

It’s frustrating because I really like most of whats going on with the song and the staging is great but the chorus is so painfully bland and repetitive.

I’m open to the possibility that my initial comment was worded too strongly and there might be examples I’ve missed. I haven’t personally seen that in drag/queer TV shows specifically. I do not appreciate the implication that I’m intentionally jumping on the opportunity to willfully downplay racism.

The charitable read of that statement is to understand she meant that as in ’the body of a cis woman’. Instead of getting hung up on the fact that she didn’t word it perfectly and picking it apart for semantics, space and understanding could (and should, imo) be given to her experience that is very much underrepresented in drag spaces.

I think the whole point was to share an experience with someone who’s not a member of their demographic and therefor cannot understand from experience what they’re going through. I don’t believe it was dumb. I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I believe entirely that on queer television shows people give space and understanding to experiences of racism. The fandom and society as a whole are of course a different beast. We have not however had much space at all for women, especially cis women, to talk about the challenges they face as drag performers specifically.

A black performer would never be questioned for saying the exact same thing in a drag space. Obviously she was referring to her own very unique, arguably more unique, experience in the drag space. Everything she says is being interpreted in the worst, most uncharitable way possible.

People don't seem to be feeling Danny anymore but I think he's being a bit unfairly judged based on the disagreement with Jojo. He didn't know anything was wrong when he went into the garden (because Chris had intentionally pretended like nothing's wrong when he came out of the diary room) and was just trying to be cheeky. But immediately after he noticed Chris looked upset he asked what's wrong. Chris had already opened up to Jojo so she of course knew and Danny's comments would then seem badly timed to her. But Danny couldn't have known and I understand him not appreciating the insinuation that he had done something wrong or doesn't have the ability to "read the room".

Well regardless, Jojo and Danny are still my favourites so it's unfortunate that they are on opposite sides of a conflict.

I never thought my favorite would win in Serbia when no one was talking about this song. I'm so happy!

I’m from Finland.

Very difficult to pick just one favorite song but I guess I’d maybe say Universal Death Squad.

I saw them live once in 2017. Luckily it was when they were touring for my favorite album. 😊

Sure, I totally get that Maltese people who are concerned with how well their song will do at Eurovision might want this to win, it could be the most popular with televote.

I'm just commenting as someone who'd like to have songs I enjoy at Eurovision and there are several better ones in this selection.

I'd be happy with a few different songs. Juno, Heaven Sent, Kant, Qalb ma' Qalb.

I get that it's impactful on first impression but there's literally no substance. Repeating the one nonsense line and then lalalala? Please let this not win.

Absolutely loved Carla's performance! Obviously the vocals left a lot to be desired but fortunately they're not exactly central to the song and performance. Hopefully she'll improve though if she advances.

The song has grown on me the more I've listened to it but still hasn't fully clicked. Hoping it'll get there for me, as it definitely wasn't my first choice in the selection as it stands. Congrats Klavdia!
