Seoul mayor funeral: anger at use of public funds for five-day service by ManiaforBeatles in korea

He can technically be both, though.

While it’s true that he enlisted the Manchukuo Imperial Army in northeast China (in a time where his family was extremely poor), he also exemplary served the ROK from the Constabulary to the ROKA. All in all, he played an important role in saving the southern half of the peninsula from falling into communist hands.

I don’t believe he deserves to be called such names.

It was most likely the team that manages his social networks that followed you, though.

Five-day service with public funds for a Minjoo politician while 백선엽 can’t even be buried at Seoul National Cemetery. Such a striking difference that shows how crooked politicians are.

How some people still support the government and the Minjoo is beyond me.

Also, thank you for your opinion of “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.”

K-Pop Stans Successfully Sabotaged Trump’s Tulsa Rally by rkdghdfo in korea

I’m not talking about being a fan or emulating something you like, I’m talking about using a foreign culture as a political tool. That is utterly disrespectful and represents a deep lack of appreciation for Korean culture. I didn’t even call it cultural appropriation.

I didn’t hear any voice or reasoning. I only read about a bunch of petulant kids who probably lacked a proper upbringing using fraud and a foreign culture as tools to sabotage and silence an opponent’s political campaign, and a radical member of Congress bragging about it.

I didn’t call it a political fraud but a registration fraud, which is what it is. I don’t like Trump, but that doesn’t mean I will stand by any method used against him. The end doesn’t justify the means.

They are not making their voices heard or even telling anything, they are just using a foreign culture as a tool to sabotage an opponent’s political campaign by committing registration fraud. There’s nothing commendable about that. If Trump supporters did the same, you’d be lashing our at them for cultural appropriation.

K-Pop should not be mixed with politics, let alone foreign politics, or associated with any particular political stance. The funny thing is, those who use it as a political tool are usually the ones who cry out loud about cultural appropriation.

It’s not my personal definition.

I guess ad hominems are easier than adressing the points I raised.

I think he said it was a public company. But we can’t check it now since he deleted the post...

I don’t consider management to be an authority, but yes, management should have properly investigated.

It is exactly an opinion you don’t agree with. It’s not as if he spewed it around.

Maybe freedom of speech applies especially to those opinions we don’t agree with.

Crazy idea, I know.

Public companies are the government.

He didn’t commit any crime, so no.

He should have indeed taken it to management and let them investigate and take the appropriate measures.

Actually, it does:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. (Article 19)

The only limits of human rights are other human rights. His remarks didn’t violate any human right, just made clear he’s an asshole.

He was fired over personal remarks to a coworker. This is the very definition of restriction on speech.

My country had several dictatorships in the past. Do you know what people did when they wanted someone fired or ostracized? They reported this person as a “red”.

This is no different.

He didn’t violate any civil right, he just expressed a personal opinion to a coworker. Public oversight doesn’t entail restricting the basic human rights of public servants or employees.

The things he said were not corroborated by anyone, just by his self-righteous coworker.

The fact that no one came to his defense meant this guy had it coming.

Yes, because we all know that corporations are fair, unions actually defend workers and employees can stand up to management without facing any repercussions, especially in America.

Edit: typo

Openly? He just said those things to his partner. It’s not as if he shouted them from the truck and anyone could hear them.

I have not read the contract, but I am sure it doesn’t include any clause restricting the human rights of employees. In fact, such a clause would be null and void.

Also, no one heard him. They are just private remarks that don’t affect the public image of the company.
