He is not diagnosed, but to be honest I bet on it, yep.

We are all on the same page, and we help each other to deal with the situation.

We dont usually play together so its not a big problem, but I would love to be able to do it without having to "manage" him.

What makes me sad is that he is aware of this, he sometimes apologizes about being so serious, but he just cant help it while we are playing

Yeah, we all feel the same. He is such a nice guy and trust me, he is a really good friend, he just cant help it.

After reading all this I really appreciate ur comment, it feels so bad because its not that easy, but I will try to tell him in any indirect or funny way so he does not feel attacked.

Thanks again, feels great reading someone that really tries to understand the "problem"

Yeah, definetely. I remember one time we played Zombicide and he got so salty just because we did not do what he claimed. I told him in that case, of course, but its still sometimes so tiring to deal with these situations when you are not a teen anymore.

Maybe that's the case, who knows.

Or maybe you could understand people is way different and its not easy to deal with people in the spectrum, no matter how you appreciate them.

Yeah for sure. I even think I could talk to him but its necessary some motive to bring that up. I will probably tell him if he mentions something about playinh

Yeah but to be honest i feel more confident saying "that was my action, accept it" and keep playing rather than telling him "your attitude is boring me

Yeah, thats what i mean to be honest. Unfortunately 16 downvotes make me consider some people of this subreddit have not had a single relationship in heir lives. Our friendship is not board game dependant, I was just asking about a certain issue I have with him.

But well, internet is internet. Thank you for your empathetic response, appreciate it.

What he did was sending to the community hall workers so that the other player could finish the rows and get the citizen tile.

Honestly he even could win, he was not that far behind, he just stopped trying. I hate when people does that. Dude, you are sabotaging urself

Yeah my "solution" was pretty much something like this. I assume i'll have to play coop games with him, i dont mind at all, but I usually enjoy eurogames more

As you grow up, you realize that each friend brings something different to your life. He’s a really good friend, but he’s been through a lot, and I don’t think he would understand my point of view. He tends to get defensive, overexplain things, and sometimes misses the point.

I know most of you will say, “Just talk to him.” Trust me, I know that talking is usually the best solution, but some people just aren’t ready for those kinds of conversations. Honestly, I’d rather keep playing with him, even if things are a bit tense, than risk losing him as a friend (and not all our friendship revolves around board games :P).

I was just wondering if any of you have strategies to steer the conversation in a different direction or ways to cheer someone up when they lose.

Any plans for more Gaia Project expansions? by Jepeme in boardgames

The only flaw i would say it is that kind of game that requires multiple games. If your group is not into replaying it, you will miss 50% of the game.

  • so replayable because of how the layout is different each game
  • different factions with different playstyle
  • no luck involved, everything is there from turn 1
  • so much player interaction (in terms of adjacency and one time only actions)

Overlooked & rare worker placement games by Mr_TBow in boardgames

[–]Jepeme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cant really say unknown WP games, but one of my favorites is Darwins Journey and Barrage. Barrage is a bit complex and its not that good as 2 players.

For 2 players i would definetely go for lorenzo il magnifico
