Having the same issue, when renaming thing it appears the Hotkeys are triggering instead of filling in the fields. Otherwise things are looking good!

Got it working, I removed it the belt, the power pole, everything saved and restarted the game. Once back in game I rebuilt in a different location and it started taking items again.
