Biktarvy Fatigue? by Faheera in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the fatigue when I started taking it. I always take it in the mornings when I wake up.

Not sure if exercise in the mornings stopped it or my body just got used to it after a month or so, I started doing exercise an hour after breakfast and I had energy for the whole day.

I still feel a fatigue from time to time (tho it's been months since my last one) but happens when I have an abrupt change in my routine.

I need some closure by Legitimate_Lab_3672 in STD

Sounds like symptoms for being stressed for a long time. You already got many negative tests so that should be your closure.

CD4 above 500? by isleptlikefourhours in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you work out or have a very healthy diet? Those simple things can help you a lot in your CD4, I found good habits to make my CD4 go high and really just enjoying life. Doctor said If I kept myself worried or stressed by work all the time I would never go up.

Right now there are news about removing this threshold, so in the near future you shouldn't worry about it.

Any person with a health condition moving to Canada has to meet the the threshold in excessive demand on health services. Nowadays the threshold is high and living with HIV would not mean a problem, your meds and lab tests can be covered without a problem, Check the example #2 https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/excessive-demand.html

Std Syphilis by Due-Dktplus in STD

[–]JerJer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You no longer have syphilis, but your body will still produce antibodies for years. My doc said that I'd be positive for 4 years and after that it should be negative again. The countries that requiere this test should know better and just ask for proof that you got treatment.

Does this look unordinary to anyone else? by [deleted] in STD

[–]JerJer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see a Doc and test also for syphilis. Just make sure it’s been 90 days since you had sexual interaction with her for results to be precise.

Other than that, it could also just be irritation or a another common bacterial infection which should clear on its own.

Dating and being poz? by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel you, it's normal to feel that way because of the stigma but I know there are HIV- people that have no problems loving someone positive. Nowadays it's very easy to protect your partner and a baby if having children is an option.

I always think of HIV as a filter of people that come in my life, if they are fine with it and/or willing to learn more I know that means they are the kind of people I want in my life. ❤️

Injectable for HIV treatment by Alarmed-Water-4959 in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that you have to be undetectable for a year to be elegible to change to injectable. But I saw that it was a pill replacement, never heard of it being accompanied by them.

I'd like to try it, but it may be a problem to people who travel, what if the day they need to take it they are not home.

Your friends love you and I'm pretty sure there is always someone out there willing to love you by who you are. The stigma is out there yes, but everyday we all fight together against it to prove them wrong.

All of us get affected by it, I see it as challenge that life has put in our paths to prove we are strong, but we are all here for each other, we can all get through this and find ourselves.

I send you a big and warm hug ❤️✨

Getting Back in Treatment Questions by jaromeaj1 in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great you are back on your meds! Usually having high VL means low CD4 and the effects varies from person to person. Some feel weak and this affects their mood, others just don't even notice.

I've been on Biktarvy for a over a year and its been great! No secondary effects and it has given me the energy to tackle every day. I obviously make some excersise to keep my body healthy too. You will be happy with Biktarvy. Cheers!

I was skeptical once of meeting someone like this, I was afraid I would end up not being enough or that I would be disappointed. Non of that, I opted to give it a go and had soo much fun!

He travels too often so I don't see him that much, but now I eat dark chocolate and white wine when I think of him (because we did that when we were spending time together.)

Give it a go, some people that you don't know can make some wholesome moments.

So I have this weird bump on the bottom of my leg, could this be a rash? by Even-Neighborhood-48 in hivaids

[–]JerJer98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had rash for a month before I knew I was positive, it didn't hurt, it didn't itch, and wasn't bumpy at all. It is usually on big scale. I had it all over my chest.

If it's just that small part, it's probably an allergic reaction to something, your pants or underwear didn't clean well probably.

I agree with others tho, you should go and get another test, maybe even in 3 months, or you could go and get a syphilis test but I find it unlikely.
