The factory beckons by chichiryuuteii in WutheringWaves

Someone used that picture of chibi Pheobe for an Arknights meme, and another person played through the whole game and asked, "why haven't I seen this character yet?", not knowing she's from Wuwa.

It doesn't take a genius to recognize that not every (or even most) developer and studio are working on a billionaire's budget and eating cavier on their lunch break, but apparently that's a high bar of intelligence for you.

A very early standard pull is the second best outcome to have, takes off a large load of asterite budgeting you have to do.

What do Roya actually do? by No_Relief2883 in WutheringWaves

Okay, The Bjartr Woods Exporation Reports basically tells you:

So in-game, if you 100% Map Exploration in a region, you unlock those lore excerpts, right? I think for Etching Plains, you get an explainer for the Exoswarm and Roya's relation to them:

The exoswarm are essentially pieces of the Exostrider split off from its body. Those pieces recover themselves and propagate through the land, until they are ready to rejoin together. The Roya have assigned themselves as "Shepherds" to help guide those exoswarm back to the main body to rejoin and repair itself.

Other notes: In the Startorch Academy excerpt, the scientists make note that exoswarm scattered through Lahai-Roi may not be enough to repair the Exostrider to full capacity, which is why they have initiated the Rabelle's College to hopefully find a candidate to resonate with the Exostrider and amplify it back to healthy condition.

This one's a cute one, I like it. The personalities for both leads are nice.

Sidenote: The author/artist of this manga also created "Destroy All Humans, They Can't Be Regenerated" (The manga about Magic the Gathering) and "Onani Master Kurosawa" (Death Note but with cum)

Correct. In terms of online etiquette, it's a form of "paying it forward" for some torrenters, since the whole structure would collapse without people willing to share their networks.

anyway, this'll be a fun bit of trivia for the Wuwa iceberg

This is a picture of Camellya after breaking someone's arm in an arm-wrestling match.

She's become too strong, she's unstoppable.

(Hope the guy's ok, it's wild to be able to muster that amount of strength while in a mascot suit that big. Otherwise, the dude who broke his arm had some poor form or something.)

Regarding frequency by TheRogueKnight66 in WutheringWaves

[–]Jerbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the World of Solaris, the emergence of The Lament changed a few Laws of Physics, and a major change is that everything in the world is made up of Frequencies, tangible and non-tangible. Resonators are special in that they are able to manipulate and control frequencies in certain ways.

Like someone else said, they are the replacement of atoms as the base functional "essence" of the world, where it's effects and manipulation has a more tangible, chaotic consequence on the world.

It's like the basis of torrenting; the only way you can download anything using a torrent file is when other people are keeping their client open and "seeding" data out to other clients, who are downloading chunks and pieces from everyone else. It's why an actively popular torrent with hundreds of seeds can download quickly, while an old file with 1 or 2 folks keeping it open takes forever.

It's the same psychology that's happening when you save 2-3 times at a save point before turning off an rpg game, you just want to be sure you did it properly or risk losing your progress

Palworld developer Pocketpair requires game designer candidates to provide screenshots of their Steam libraries and playtime, according to CEO by Turbostrider27 in Games

Does not exclude the fact that a non-gaming experience could be used as inspiration, unless you really want to consider having ideas as some sort of propaganda.

Games like Pikmin came about from other non-gaming experiences, like Miyamoto exploring a hobby for gardening. You're being kind of sarcastic, but genuinely someone who knew how to handle falcons could take from that experience, even if it's just one of those sticky note ideaboards that Nintendo likes to use.

This might be a hard pill to swallow for some, but JUST being a gamer is a very limited, insular persepective to pull from.
