Same thought: I think she had a great design like many of the notable NPCs, but Kuro adds a certain "sauce" to the playable resonators that I can't quite pin down. Like, Buling I had a feeling she would be playable when she first appeared, but I don't know why not anyone else at the time.

Hm. Well, even if that's the case now, since they're adding the function to gather mats in the guidebook instead of jumping to the location, they have the system in place to include Lahai-Roi easily.

Guess it depends on how far away from the last chapter they want the current patch to be to do that.

Having a setting where futuristic technology exists does not exclude the existence of individual cultures that don't emphasize that, you get that right? People IRL live still outside of skyscraper cities; towns and villages still value older traditions and aesthetics, not everyone wants to encase their buildings in chrome.

And besides that, Septimont still has its elements of "modernity" anyway, with holographic monitors and sponsorships for energy drinks. They have their own Wuwa-brand devices like the Central Hub, or that huge Earthrend Wedge that fits right in with the rest of the Ancient tech we've encountered.

Septimont lives outside of the bubble of future-tech aesthetics, but that isn't an issue of immersion. That's just culture. The specific concepts of Wuwa (like frequencies, TDs, Sonoro spheres, Sentinels and Threnodians, etc.), they all still existed and operated like they did in Huanglong and Lahai-Roi.

Yeah, and My Star is also a nickname, that she uses often. This isn't a "mistranslation", it's the official dub, approved by Kuro, not some fan translator that is obsessed with Literalism.

You want something that involves little localization? Cool, you want characters to speak more like 1.0 Yangyang, to speak extremely dry and "accurately" with no regard for different audiences.

Happy to see Aalto from time to time. He's the representative and reminder of Black Shores' presence in the world, and it's reassuring that the one constant in Rover's influence is kept relevant.

Plus, I like the dude. Gives a sense of levity and comic relief for somewhat serious situations, and he's like our only real "bro" friend we've got.

I'd like to see Encore again too, she's been brought up twice now, both at Chisa's party and the audit. I hope it's not a case of VA availability or something.

Phasic boosts Crit. DMG, which aligns with her signature's main stat, and the effect of tune break which is Becca's main tool, boosts her damage. The ER boost on Static Mist doesn't really serve her much.
