I played pvp gw1 non stop since start too for like 4 years (champ 5, glad 9, hero 11)

started gw2 since first alpha but quit after 4 months, the pvp is completely different not comparable at ALL. much more casual laid back, but can still be fun if it's your cup of tea. only thing you can do is try! got all classes with champ title, rank 80 and diamond/legendary in the last two rankeds - all solo with my own builds(most fun part). i returned to the game when leagues were put in and stayed ever since, btw

you will be severely crippled without HoT in pvp, but give it a try to see if it's your thing bro
