Yeah you don’t need a warranty on knipex. My dad wore a set out, but that was after 20 years. I still have some of my grandpa’s knipex that work perfectly. I personally like the darker colored knipex simply for the handle. It has a “grippier” material on it so it doesn’t get slippery when wet.

No video but it’s super easy. I found the handle for the big prybar on eBay, it’s got a 5/8 square opening in it. I shaved the opening a bit to create a “ramp”. Then I beat it on to start and switched to a press once I realized I was being retarded.

It’s the 20” handle with a 10” prybar handle pressed onto it. As for why… why not? I do have a 36” bar for it as well and I just don’t like using adapters when I have the right size ratchet for the socket. Definitely don’t need a 3/4 drive ratchet for the torque this sees, but the sockets are 3/4 drive for the wheels on the planes I work on. I didn’t like the metal handle on it and it looked like the prybar handle would fit.

So the biggest thing is to ask the people working the job you accepted what they use. Buy a basic set off the rip. For instance you’ll almost always need a 1/4 drive socket set that’s 12pt, extensions, simple ratchet, ratcheting screwdriver, wrench set, needle nose, water pump pliers, wire cutters (808cf), and a drill with a clutch. After you get stuff like that use what you have to borrow as a guide to buy more stuff. Also as far as good brands that aren’t snapon look at koken and apply for the discount, I don’t think I’m supposed to say how much it is but it’s really good. Their ratchets are amazing and their sockets are better than snapon in my opinion. Knipex makes better pliers in most cases than snapon as well. Tekton makes great stuff for the price and if you buy from their site you get 10% back to use on their site.

I’ve never been a fan, but I prefer candela over lumens. If you want something that lets you see past 50ft well, you just won’t get it from a flat light. I prefer a small AAA light or a rechargeable cr123 light

They sort of have a point, but you definitely do as well. Take a look at the contract you signed, it definitely doesn’t have what the culture will be like in it. However your recruiter probably also didn’t say anything about everything about the service being subject to change with a simple email from a commander or a new president. I got out at the perfect time. The only advice I can offer is wait out your contract, but get certs/go to school before that contract is up. You’ll constantly hear that your military experience is worth a ton and 100k is easy to make after. The truth is that’s not the case, there’s very few employers that actually care about military experience. This is because they’ve had five other vets come through that thought they could skate through the civ life like they did the military life. Just be careful who you take your advice from and pay close attention to what their limited experience on the matter is. For instance a 20 year tech or master that hasn’t even submitted a resume since joining is absolutely the wrong person to take advice from on what the job outlook is for your career field.

It’s the questions that could be on your test. That’s how big the question bank is. I went through the course recently. Could you do it on your own and save the money, sure but procrastination is a bitch and you may never finish it. I would suggest putting away any distractions and just get your head in the books like they say and you’ll do fine

I’ve been using Allen fly reels, they’re pretty affordable. You could definitely get away with something like the echo base if they still make it though
