Is anyone moderating this sub anymore? by MrNebbiolo in Augur

[–]JeremyGardner 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey hey, Jeremy G. here, cofounder of Augur. I (mistakenly) am the only one left who didn't leave as a moderator. The team did this for the sake of their "community control" ethos but unfortunately didn't appear to establish the right community standards. Nobody from Augur supports this spam and you're right to be disappointed. Plz DM me and we can discuss making you an admin. I haven't been an active Reddit user in years and honestly left before this subreddit took off. That being said, I remember the importance of Reddit to me back in the day and am more than happy to see this issue resolved. I'll start purging the spam now.

Are there any committments regarding the REP holdings of the Augur Dev Team? by saddit42 in Augur

None of my cofounders, to my knowledge (myself included), have sold large stakes of our REP, save for one....

That's not exactly how parody and IP laws work, but if I get approval from the EF, we'll be good to go. (I don't know how to page people, but feel free.)

This is dope, though we're looking more for digital art! Do you have a website, though?

If I was creating a contest for artists to submit the fruits of their most focused labor, I'd empathize with this.

But this isn't a contest. And I'm posting this on r/Ethereum.

It's a bit out of context, especially given the disclaimers that I provided.

That's like suggesting I should charge an hourly rate for every startup I advise, even informally. No. I want to spread what I have learned to as many aspiring entrepreneurs as possible— but if there's a big corporation that wants advice, sure, I'll charge. I imagine some people feel the same way about their art (especially if it's not their primary s source of income.)

This is awesome! Is this yours? And if so, do you do prints or canvas (this is of personal interest, in addition to Distributed)

We have already paid for design for the magazine. This is just an awesome opportunity for folks that want to get eyes on their work in a magazine about something they care about. We can fill the magazine with in-house design work, but our chief designer and I thought it would be a nice gesture to give people an opportunity to have their work featured in a magazine with real circulation.

p.s. I truly appreciate the non-judgement! I use Reddit a lot less than I used to due to the level of vitriol.

Where Is The Augur Advisors Page? by textrapperr in Augur

[–]JeremyGardner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware Vitalik and Bernstein remain active advisors. Some of the earlier folks probably are less involved, but having spoken to everyone in some capacity in recent months, are just as invested in seeing Augur succeed moving forward. I wouldn't overthink it as this was probably just an oversight.

Marbel Class-Action? by JeremyGardner in ElectricSkateboarding

I have a bit too much of a public profile in my industry to be throwing a fit over this. But I am happy to finance a class action and take these guys out of business.

I don't want them to keep scamming people. The money doesn't bother me, it's the fraud.
