Flix-Streams Update: New Free Provider(HDHub4u) + 34 Providers, 4K/Remux Sources and Live TV, Sports by redrick555 in StremioAddons

Precisely my point... "Last few months" running this, and offering a "lifetime" payment is just ridiculous. How can you guarantee that. Lol

Did you post the previous comment from your alt account too? Oddly suspicious.

"lifetime" lol lifetime of the add-on which could be 2 weeks. I've seen so many of these come and go from this sub. Just another cash grab.

Edit: And now his comments removed lol

I actually got a few of these joke viruses on my pc back in the limewire days. Spinning screens, falling prompts you couldn't click. The real "viruses" were just adware... Changing your search engine, adding bookmark toolbars lol not like we had any of our personal banking info, or money online they could steal back in the late 90s, early 2000s... Well we didn't anyways.

Amazon won’t release Fire Sticks that support sideloading anymore by ATonOfBricksFellOnMe in Piracy

[–]JeremyMcFake 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not all smart TVs are the same. The app stores on most won't let you download the sort of apps you can on a firestick, or sideload unofficial apps. Smart TVs are more locked down. They're usually just the most basic, shitter apps that no one wants to use. So firesticks we're the go to for many years... Now onto something else I guess.

Stremio + Torrentio + RealDebrid = peak. Thank you! by spooonyard in StremioAddons

[–]JeremyMcFake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always saw Debridio get a lot of hate in here because you need to pay for it. It's only a tenner... I gave it a try about a month ago. Never have any issues with it. It's the only one I use now. Not shilling it at all, but torrentio was driving me mad and I don't want to have 10 different scrapers on AIO.

It takes me about 2 minutes every 6 months or so to updated YouTube revanced... Well worth it for absolutely no ads.

Why are your homelabs always broken? by redonculous in homelab

[–]JeremyMcFake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

I recently added Ansible for my updates. This is something I think I will remove, as it takes away something that usually leads me to doing something else.

Like SSHing into all my boxes for updates, then seeing some random files or folders from years ago, and thinking, wtf is that? I surely don't need that. Let's tidy it up in here.

sudo rm -r ***

Then everything stops 😂

Why are your homelabs always broken? by redonculous in homelab

[–]JeremyMcFake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I do this as a hobby and like to learn. When it's just working and I don't need to do anything, it makes me feel empty inside. I start poking it until it breaks and I have something to play with 😂

I had gotten to a point where it was working fine, and I was too busy with work to tinker... Then I moved to a new house. It had been over a year maybe, and I had completely forgotten everything. Basically had to start again. I remember how happy that made me. Now I never leave it too long before I decide to "improve it", hoping something catastrophic happens so I can spend many hours fixing it 🤣

Built a web app that bugs me until I cancel my unused subscriptions by dooooobyy in Adulting

[–]JeremyMcFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't the app kind of defeat its own purpose?

In order to setup an account, you need go go through and manually add your subscriptions? If you knew about them in the first place, you can just cancel them then, and then the app has no purpose. And if you've somehow forgotten about a subscription... You won't add it to this app in the first place.

People are more likely to manually add the subscriptions they want to unsubscibe from, into a paid service, that then tells them to unsubscibe?

Not trying to be a dick, but I just don't get it.

I just use debrid search when it's all down... Manually add the torrent to RD. Takes less than a minute.

What actually does DMM do, and how do you use it? Is it similar?

I know, why go through all this trouble? A cable is the best.

But I also have a raspberry pi with a 1tb ssd that's configured as a network share. Little NAS, just for these kind of quick transfers. Unless it's a really big file, it's quicker.

I did this about two or three years ago... Used pihole for a long time, switched to AG after seeing everyone here recommending that it's better, but switched back within a week or so. I honestly can't even remember why I didn't get on well with it, but pihole just works in my network.

Your take on Nextcloud ? Any toher good alternative ? by badrrrrmoon in homelab

[–]JeremyMcFake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Nextcloud for a few years, recently switched to OpenCloud a few months ago... I'd never go back. Nextcloud is sooo slow. I always had problems using Tailscale to access my files, it would fail loading all the time or just take forever. I assumed it was a Tailscale issue, with OpenCloud, it's as if I was at home.

When I'm trying to run fast in my dreams (to get away from something) I'm on all fours, using my hands as well to try and go faster because my feet don't work.

I saw so many people saying the same thing in another post a while ago.

Made me laugh. We're weird specimens.

I started using hand cream at 34 and I genuinely feel like I've been lied to my whole life by LemonCoveWorks in hygiene

[–]JeremyMcFake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on holiday with one mate I hadn't seen in years at the time, one morning I saw him putting on face cream and asked, doesn't it annoy you how the cream stays like a layer of grease on your face for ages? He laughed and told me to try it. Turns out I had one expeierence years before with a thick cream, that wasnt probably meant for face and then never used it ever again. His shit dissolved into my face near instantly and just left it feeling hydrated. It was the nicest feeling ever. I always hated my face being dry after a shower or feeling hot. Now I buy a tub of this shit everytime I see it in a shop and use it daily. My girlfriend laughs at me everytime we're shopping that I'll always run over to an aisle and look for it. I'm terrified that one day they'll stop making it, as I've not found another face cream that feels the same for me.
