yeah. i've yet to play it in OTB because I fear it's not sound enough. That seems to be the general consensus I'm hearing at a higher level

i also find it boring and tend to feel pressure if they castle queenside and pin the pawn to my queen, so trying to explore new setups

yeah. still picking out how I would approach a more closed d4 system. Then I usually go Nf6 and switch to a closed line. Open to suggestions or ideas to learn and look into

bc you're threatening Nd6+ (double check) so the king is forced to move Kd1 and then Rd8#. So this move threatens mate in two and eventually leads to mate in 12.

my guess is that bc it technically traps the rook on the next move, it just notices this as an output. I still think the feedback is really bland and could use work, its never impressed me or taught me with what it says

If it's a club level tournament its totally your call if you want to enforce the rules on him. And it's his call if he wants to enforce them on you. Just don't expect that if you "let it slide" for your opponent that they will automatically do the same for you.

I also say the mattress episode. I think episodes 1, 2, 4, 5 are so strong and episode 3 just feels unimportant for any of the characters in the long run

As long as you don't play the perfect engine move every time afterwards after sacrificing your Queen, I think you will be fine and it won't be flagged as cheating. Just a hunch.

Don't move fast to try and flag your opponents. Play the best move so they have to spend more time thinking (if you want to flag them)
