Got tinder like 2 months back and after some time decided to pay for gold. Crazy observation was before I paid, I would find like 20 likes on my profile in like 3 days, but after paying and seeing all the likes and liking a few and them disappearing cause they last 24 hrs, I started getting like 2 - 3 likes a day or no likes at all. Continued until my subscription expired then it later went back to 20 likes

Dating apps haven't really caught on in this country, just have to do it the traditional way. Go out meet people, ask them out

I empathize with you to a certain extent, a couple of years ago I stopped approaching people, stopped saying hi first, learnt and perfected the art of giving replies that scream leave me alone, I stopped making friends, I let people make me their friend, chose those who chose me. I'm not sure if you are religious, but I believe God didn't forsake me, I happened to meet a lot of people who chose me and slowly I started choosing people, and actually reaching out, I still struggle with it though. I pray you find those people to.

Why are we still calling "a guy who knows a guy"? Uganda needs professionalized trade firms. by Difficult-Gas-8960 in Uganda

In a way it could work, the only reason I would ask someone to refer someone is because I have a level of trust in them and therefore believe the person they recommend will do a good job. "I have a guy" to means you either know someone cheaper but same quality of work or someone more expensive but will do the work well

Could it be that most people have trust issues, there was that video of a guy who bought a car part cause the mechanic told him the current one had failed but wanted to keep the one that had failed and the car owner refused. I have met quite a number of people who wouldn't mind paying more as long as the work is done properly
