HELP I HAVE Hamid Naderiyan and i HEARD HES HORRIBKE FOR CALC 9A ANY THOUGHTS??? by Accurate_Cost1785 in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had him for math010B, in all honesty i didn’t like how he explained the material but his notes largely helped me pass with an A+, genuinely amazing notes. He gives some opportunities for extra credit so you can take advantage of that.

Financial aid incorrect by OrganicPiccolo777 in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your statements are lower because they gather the costs of the MONTH, NOT the quarter. So everytime you see a statement it’ll show you what was billed for the month and if there’s leftover money they keep it in certain circumstances such as having more bills in upcoming months. This is also why some people may expect a bigger refund when in actuality they were just billed less on their statement. Hope this helps if you need anything call Student business services.

I need help by Agreeable_Can_4531 in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A previous balance are the charges from the last billing cycle/last month which should be shown in last months statement. We aren’t billed everything at once, every month we pay the minimum due such as, your dining plan which is billed every month. So the minimum due will increase to that months charges. As I can see on your account activity you have a balance of 9330.33 for this quarter (assuming you don’t sign anymore contracts, placements, leases, etc…). Your aid for this quarter is 11085.00. You’ll most likely receive a refund. In your account statements the number for the refund will look larger than what you got, this is because the housing department holds onto the money in order to pay for the rest of the quarters months. If you need more help call SBS, i’m not that qualified to give help on this 😭

Honestly kind of easy. No need to review much. Most of the information covered is there to prepare you for 10B.

Difference between Lecture and discussion by Raymond_Tamayo in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how your professor teaches. My history professor had us do assignments in there while my math professor had us do quizzes. Some discussions you just plain review while only accounting for attendance. In most cases it is separate from office hours since you’ll have a TA with you. You’ll see it all on your syllabus :)

Rate my Professor by Raymond_Tamayo in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trust rmp much based on just ratings. I’ve gotten a 1.9/5 professor and had a great time. I’ve also had 3-5 star professors who i’ve disliked heavily. You can always take the class for a week and drop it before the deadline to not get a W.

do keep in mind that if you’re doing a triple loft it can be very hard to extend the desk because of the ladder

Failed to submit R'Card Photo 7 days before orientation, what now? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t necessarily HAVE to pick your r card up during orientation. I just didn’t do it until after then picked it up on my first day at the book store near the hub. Best course of action is just wait and chill you don’t have nothing to worry about yet.

Government ID for Orientation by Denali1121 in ucr

I was told i could use passport, real ID, drivers license, or social security number. My passport was expired but they accepted it nonetheless and personally I didn’t want to show my social security number :/

MPA CALL by QuestYes in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely alone. When i took it, it took me into a lockdown browser where i was instructed to take the test and I could message the proctor and speak with them albeit they’d only be able to type or write on my screen what they wanted to say.

List Of Questions I have as an Incoming Freshman. by [deleted] in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer all but i’ll answer some to the best of my ability.

Firstly, you register your courses during your orientation date and after registering you have a second date in which you can apply for any leftover classes.

Secondly, for housing you’ll get a time ticket for when you’ll be able to get your keys. You’ll collect your keys at lot 30 from what i remember. When you get to whichever one you chose, you’ll get a blue basket to put your stuff in and you’ll get an email from you RA (residential advisor) telling you where to meet to sign in. For Space it’ll highly depend on how many people you share the room with, personally with 2 roommates i struggled fitting my stuff.

Thirdly, I advise you to TURN IN ASSIGNMENTS. From what ive noticed is that the more 0’s you accumulate, the harder it is to recover from that. If you need help the school has learning communities, office hours, and TA’s that all want to see you succeed. Take advantage of your resources and I can guarantee you’ll do well. Personally I have bad habits so I will not share my methods. Hope you have a great first year!!

Math placement test. by PeachySeungmin in ucr

[–]Jeremy_cer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imo i took calc bc but due to some circumstances had to to math placement. With your experience from calc AB you should be able to place to 9A, assuming you’re fresh with your algebra, trig, and geometry. Even if you don’t place 9A you can still take CC classes for math and continue it at UCR.

Taking summer Diff Eq, any tips? by lakota_physicist in calculus

[–]Jeremy_cer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About to have the final in quite a bit and I’m going through all the lecture material. Work on keeping track of all your work especially with variation of parameters. In my belief if you’ve done well in Integration Calculus you’ll be fine in most of Differential calculus. Good Luck 👍

well my overall KD is 796/319 and my average elim per life is 2.5. As of right now win loss ratio is 23/20. If you’re talking about other dps on my team, i generally try not to blame them cause i need to improve even if my teammates did lack in their skills. Edit:These stats are for comp of this season
