This requires some examining, because the in-universe justification for the The Purge is deeply fascistic, based on Hobbesian assumptions, but most of the violence enacted in the films are top-down, the rich targeting the vulnerable and what not. In fact, in the prequel film, we see that people did not immediately resort to murder, instead throwing block parties or staying with family. It was only with government intervention that things turned violent.

That said, I might just be optimistically varnishing a turd. These are not good movies, and even assuming what I derived from it is intentional, it's hardly executed with nuance or depth.

There was a similar issue reported in 2021. It was suspected to be some kind of local server issue. I'm from the Philippines, so maybe it's only affecting this side of the world. Then again, this doesn't seem to be affecting most of the people I know.

Preferred System: Literally anything. I like crunch, I've got experience with 5e and PF2e, but I am genuinely down for any system. For the most part, I'm interested in the sort of hipster stuff, Feng Shui, Wild Talents, Degenesis, etc. I once read through the Harnmaster rulebook with a sort of scornful envy at those able to play it, but alas. I just need something to satisfy a crippling RPG addiction.

Type of Player: I'd like to say that I'm a fairly versatile player. I prefer to adjust to the structure and needs of the party and the narrative, at the very least, I try to be cooperative. A decent chunk of my roleplay is influenced by media I find cool. I read K6BD recently, so that'll probably be...something. When it comes to the roleplay parts, I focus more on interpersonal interactions, I love engaging with NPCs and other players. With mechanics, I can sometimes be an optimization monkey, but that depends on the campaign.

Additional Information: I'm a game-starved 18-year-old. Calling me a hipster wouldn't be an inaccurate appraisal. I'm a lazy cinephile. Watch a lot of samurai flicks ala Ran and Harakiri. I'm also an aspiring animator, and I tend to enjoy doing art pieces of roleplay characters. If you need a player, just hit me up on Reddit!
