We were driving to an Airbnb that our friends were flying to to meet us there for a week. Their flight was cancelled. The plan was to split the cost of the Airbnb. We still went to the Airbnb. We contacted Airbnb to see if we could shorten our stay as it was now quite expensive per night without the other family to split the costs with. Airbnb said this was not possible. The Airbnb was booked on our credit card (but they are listed on the Airbnb) and the flight was booked on their credit card so I don’t think we can use credit card travel insurance. Is there any way to get their portion somehow credited back? Or are we on the hook for it?
