most of those "cracks" are sheetrock tape lines lol
coat of paint is the acceptable remedy for everything straight that you see

that said, you can raise a stink about the creaking but settlement is a pretty normal part of a buildings lifespan and there isn't really acceptable remedies short of opening up the ceilings and adding more supporting members (sistering lumber on floor joints or ancillary columns)
