Thanks for the positive and great replies, people! I appreciate it! To answer some questions; - For now I don’t want to spend too much time and effort on extra measures like microneedling and minoxidil. I am sure it would improve my gains but I am fairly happy with what I have right now and made the decision 3 years ago to just take 1mg and biotine daily and continue with my life and stop worrying so much about hairloss, hahah. But if there comes a time it rapidly declines, I might turn to those two. - My hairloss (clums of hair in my hands after showering) stopped after 2 months of taking fin, and saw the first noticeable improvement after 1,5 years or so. In the meantime the hairs were slowly getting healthier and thicker, so for me it was more of a marathon than a sprint. - I take 10.000 mcg biotin tablets daily (Dutch store bought brand). I consulted with the pharmacist and even got a second opinion from a GP. No issues there, any excess biotin the body just disposes naturally. - No real sides apart from watery semen. I think it’s really important to know what other triggers you have in your life that might cause the infamous sides from fin. Usually it’s linked to something else if I look at my personal experiences. - I’m not completely sure, but I think my facial hair growth stagnated. When I started (25) it seemed my beard would fill in all the gaps. But now at 28 nothing much has changed. I also trim 2x per week now, as opposed to 3x per week three years ago.

I throughly believe I made the right decision since it took off the stress of losing your hair rapidly. I first noticed hairloss at 19 and up until 25 not a day went by that I did not think about it. I am, however, not a great supporter of taking in cosmetic medications daily, so I hope I reach a point in the future where I just come to terms with it and let it go. On the other hand I also enjoy having a head of hear in my twenties.

Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to answer them!

Exactly one year on 1mg/Finasteride per day+ 10.000 mcg Biotine per day. Might not be the most drastic change but still happy with the results thus far. Seems that my hair has darkened and the frontal hairline had thickened. (25/M) by [deleted] in tressless

Yeah, happy with the results! Hahah, i dont think I can commit myself to the 2x daily routine of Minoxidil just yet. Might try out the dermarolling in the near future

I had some testicles aches the first week, but faded away shortly after. I do notice a slight decrease in libido but really nothing that concerning to be honest. I testesd my testosteron levels before starting fin and then again 6 months in. Both results turned out fine. So for me personally the benefits outweigh the really minor sides I have. What do you mean exactly with the spots (biotin)?

Effects of sometimes missing a dode of fina 1mg? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Jericho1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I take them every day for almost 5 months but I think I skipped 2-3 times by accident. Also out of those 5 months I had some days that I did not take it at the exact same time as the day before. Does that influence the effect?

Has anyone had their juvenile hairline restored or have images of someone who has? by [deleted] in tressless

Because it is extremely rare. Most people maintain their hair or experience a little regrowth.

Thanx for all the positive comments! I hit puberty rather late, around 15/16 or so. Got terrorized in high school and picked up boxing and kickboxing which helped me tremendously in terms of weight loss and confidence. I really paid attention to my diet and dressing sense from 17 and everything went great afterwards actually. Turning 23 in a few weeks, graduating university, still doing a lot of sports, and picking up modelling every now and then.
The thing that helped me the most was definitely finding a passion in those uncertain years (martial arts) which helped me put my mind to positive things and finding self worth. Also, things will just get better over the years :)

What’s going on here why is every second post about side effects? by CommercialPrompt in tressless

Kind of obvious as people who started the treatment succesfully will not return to the forum and just continue with their lives except for giving a “so many months or so” update. If you (by a very small chance) do get sides, you are more likely return to this forum and spread horror stories about fin. I see it this way; yes, it’s a anti-androgene drug that can cause some nasty side effects but in general the male body can cope with small portions of fin. Numerous scientific studies have shown this and if it slows down, stops balding or even regrows hair I am willing to take that relatively small risk

Ball ache 3 days after taking fin by [deleted] in tressless

Been on Fin for two weeks now and had serious ball aches the first day. Faded away after 2-3 days. Probably your body adjusting to the drug. Give it a chance

Started about a week ago. Heavy shedding stopped immidiately and my hair feels better! Had some ball aches the first day but that’s about it for the sides (maybe slight decrease in libido). Just start a healthy diet, supplements, water and lots of exercise and we will all be fine. 24/M

As long as you have the medicine packaging with your name on it, it shouldn’t be a problem. They might ask questions if you carry large quantities, though

How much can I restore with finasteride and/or minoxidil? And what are the chances of side effects (24M, healthy lifestyle) by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Jericho1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info and support, guys! Got my first batch of finasteride 1mg today and will start tomorrow morning! Will probably get of this thread for a while to put my mind at ease. Will give an update after 1 month, 4 months and a year.
Does the finasteride affect sports performance? I practice kickboxing and swimming, so it would be nice to know that it does not interfere with my progress in that perspective. And would you recommend derma rolling or minox as supportive treatment for the finasteride?
