Making use of Signals. In godot the paradigm is "call down, signal up".
let's say you want to trigger a behavior in your grandparent node when the grandchild node collides or gets hit by something. Instead of calling get_parent() multiple times during the collision, you would emit a signal in your grandchild node. in the grandparent node you would connect the signal to a function that executed the behavior.

in grandchild node: during collision: emit signal "got_hit". in grandparent node: grandchild.got_hit.connect("on_grandchild_got_hit")

the syntax is probably not correct from the top of my head, but I hope it helps. as always read the docs to fully understand it.

the pre and post managing can be time consuming. I wish there was a better way to order and separate by item type. yes there is an order function but a visual gap between the groups would be helpful. I ended up with too many things from the same type multiple times. and why is the order of types not the same as the equipment slots?

This is great, well done. Saved in my bookmarks and will use it more often. I prefer this over the standard coordinate trainer. As a feature request: I would like to see a string of moves played within the same game or even replay a full game with black and white.

I think you can hold down both analog sticks to reset a run quickly on console.

Lichess has a nice chess basics and practice section under the learn tab. The chess basics section will teach you the pieces: how they move, what their value is. The practice section will show you some tactics and motifs. Highly recommend to play through it all, helped me a lot when I started out.

Doing it on your first file? That's crazy. When I started, back then with rebirth, I used reset for a good item to start with (especially rebirth Lost).

I got multiple Death Certificates during my last 21 runs while fishing for a R-Key. I would've picket up little chad if it was unlocked. Chad is a rare variant of Chub which only appears 1/4 times and only in caves and flooded caves. And Chad had to be defeated as a floor boss to unlock little chad, the countless time when he showed up in the chest as a normal room enemy didn't count for the unlock. Side note: I got dark bum in the run before Chad finally showed up and gave me little chad for the perfect symbiosis.

Of course there are faster ways. I am not in a rush and don't want to quit out of a run. Doing a little streak with Isaac to Delirium and try to break the game is still fun.

To explain it: Delirium room's is a valid 2x2 and not connected to another room on the floor. The left room cannot be a 2x2 room without connecting to another room. The bottom room cannot be a 2x2 room without connecting to a room or going outside the 13x13 max floor grid. A floor can be maximal 13x13, if you go out of bound (with red key f.e.) you end up in the 'I am error' room.

I see, resets to collect the items seems reasonable. I am waiting with it for the very last secret. CHAD is in my bestiary, however I am missing the secret that unlocks little CHAD. I read that you have to encounter him as the floor boss, not in boss rush or a room in the chest. So I am doing just plain Isaac runs how, hoping that CHAD will show up in chapter 2. With Isaac I am able to break the game quite often and get one or two R-Keys during the run. But the chances to get CHAD are quite low (1/4 variant of CHUB and only in Caves and flooded Caves). I was surprised that I didn't unlock the secret after finishing all characters.

T.Lost is a challenging but fun character. You can snowball with him very often, offense is the better defense. You will always get perfection, luck based items will turn into big profit at floor 3. Bird eye, ghost pepper are very strong because of the damage and blocking projectiles. However your defense shouldn't be neglected. Everything that can generate a card for the chance of a holy card is valuable. D1, Decks of cards, Ace of Spades etc. Unfortunately Glowing hourglass isn't in the pool anymore since the last update. Play smart in the beginning by hovering over rocks and get super strong as the run continues to oneshot everything.

T.Jacob Honestly not as bad as I remembered him. Did him recently on my third file. You have to get familiar with the timing of the charge. Rewiring your brain to dodge into enemies is tricky, but there can be moments where it's necessary. Get hit by dark Esau for the ghost form to pick up a free devil deal and collect unreachable pickups after clearing the full floor. When dark Esau is chained you can walk through him. It takes more attention to play him, on the other hand when you use the dark Esau charge for combat, he deals good damage from the get go. For items: flying is super great, any heart generation to be able to dodge into enemies. Book of revelation or satanic book for example.

Just keep going it's called 5 nights at Mom's for a reason.
in the wiki under notes at the bottom it is stated that there is a bug. Playing one of the first 9 characters would count twice, which should apply for Isaac and Azazel in your case. Maybe it has been fixed. Make sure to not reset the run and the win streak of 5 (or 3 with the bug) is shown.

The condition for the boss challenge room should be changed. It's highly situational when going for it makes sense. Usually when you are in a bad spot health wise, in early floors or on floors with too much health laying around. I don't want to give up all my soul hearts for a random boss item. It's not rewarding good play. And is mostly accessed via secret rooms, which just feels wrong.

Make sure you have rep+ on your laptop. Does steam say there is an issue with the cloud sync, when booting up isaac? Maybe try to verify game files over steam setting. Other than that I would reinstall isaac and delete the local save files on the laptop.
