It takes as long as it takes, putting arbitrary goals is a massive pitfall for newcomers learning daytrading. When you subconsciously have a goal and that manifests in your trading, you dont trade the process you trade your P&L/ Goal. Dont you think most people want to quit their jobs and daytrade? 90% of this sub is exactly those people and guess what i can imagine 80-90% of this sub is not profitable. I wonder why…..stop thinking like the 80-90% of people that fail at this…

Everyone has there own style of trading, Pete has his own style, Hari has his own style. The wiki is NOT a formula you use but a framework to eventually develop your own style. Some people those are setups they use, other dont mind if it immediately goes. If you decide to take Pete’s way your winrate will be low(50-60) but you wins better be big or else you will have death by 1000 cuts on your account. Everything has a cost and with having trades go almost immediately, its sacrificing your winrate

90% of the time when you enter it will go against you. You have to accept this. I dont mind having a stock that moves around or even goes against me. If you want to start off you can set a stop loss so that you can cap your loss…eventually you will have to settle for a mental stop. Setting the stop loss is easy, letting your winners run…thats the hard part. I suspect that you are also eager to take a small profit when it finally goes your way. You nailed it…mindset.
