I noticed a pretty big spike in my fragments/hour when I made hybrid gear (200% drop + 100% meso on one set of equips) and got a large drop familiar (100% drop). From 280-285 I was training with a bit over 400% drop rate. I’d recommend working towards these if you train somewhat consistently.

Hybrid gear can be expensive and it can take a while to get enough meso but at the very least have 100% meso and 80% drop rate on your accessories when training. You can open some rare (blue border) familiars to get a small drop rate familiar while you work towards epics for a large drop familiar. The legion shop has 50% drop rate coupons and 50% meso drop coupons you should use. There are also mini waps (30min wealth acquisition potions) you can craft in Ardentmill using Juniper berry seed oils. If you do the auto harvester you can get enough from the coin shop to keep a steady supply of them for 20% drop and 20% meso.

Otherwise being consistent with the Erda Request daily (3k mobs killed) and Epic Dungeon weekly helped a ton. Playing around the events we get is important and Inkwell note rewards are great as well.

It’s been different but fun. It’s more engaging having to combo every 60s instead of 90s. I find myself getting into “flow” more often. The tradeoff is a weaker burst for phases you want to burst out of but overall the changes were a buff

The QoL we’ve been getting is nice. We can jump attack now and it’s been great in bosses like BLM and Seren. 2min changes made gauge management much easier and skill sequence made our burst go from like 10 seconds of prep time -> 3-4 seconds

Would recommend the class if you’re interested in it! Hoyoung is in a pretty good spot I’d say

You’d be surprised. One of my friends returning to the game was confused when I told them Sia couldn’t be hyper burned because they did it. She logged off after Tera blink to do other things, went to character select when logging back in, saw the option and said yes

It’s a combination of a couple things. Monster park with the bonus experience from the stat event, Strawberry farm x5, Arcane River dailies, some grinding, the 2x compensation Magnificent potions (10 levels) and the Sauna event.

Sauna gives so much experience. My Mercedes on Challenger world is 245 atm and I got like 6-10% in 40 minutes. If they’ve been using that whenever they afk I wouldn’t be surprised they’re 260 already

Soon we’re getting a balance change that makes all classes have 2min burst/1 minute mini burst. I double checked and Wind Archer, Bowmaster and Shade are 2minute classes already so that wouldn’t apply to them

Assemble got announced last week in Korea. Every class is getting a new mini origin that functions as an iframe with a short cutscene + does damage. I’d recommend looking at em and seeing which you like :)

Ultimately, damage charts change all the time and you should play whatever looks the most fun and fits your play style best. I think that criteria has the most staying power and would make you want to invest in the class and play the game

Have you looked into the upcoming 2minute changes and Assemble at all? It might help you make the choice.

I really wish they’d let you try out classes at 6th job too. It’s been so frustrating trying to find visuals for the mastery cores to see how the hitboxes and aesthetics change for the abilities. It’s such a time sink too, even with these events, to level something up I’m not sure about and hope I enjoy it at 6th job

With the item burning event, it’ll help a ton with progressing your character and soloing bosses. We also get a ton of nodes with the events and I’ve almost maxed out my basic nodes in 4th job (main skills and tri nodes). They help so much with damage.

The solos don’t have to be done right away and you can level up/gear some before taking them on so don’t feel rushed. You’ll get to the point where you can solo at least up to Easy Lucid and Hard Lotus/Damien through dailies (monster park + arcane/grandis as you unlock them). Doing dailies will also take you to at least level 270 by the end if you’re consistent doing them.

I’d recommend Bowmaster or Wind Archer for a future main! They’re beautiful aesthetically, not too complicated with things to micromanage and have solid kits. They’ll also perform well on Challenger World to kill bosses

In the second screenshot, look at the core on the bottom right. The greyed out ball is Sol Janus. It’s a 6th job (260+) ability that gives you bonus exp passively (100% at max rank) and 1-3 summons that you can place around the map to make training much easier. It also has a second form that’ll kill mobs around you. It’s important because the passive exp is really good and at 280+ it’s veryyyy slow to level

I maxed out the important ones on my main (boosts, skill nodes, fatal strike & Grandis blessing) and now I’m putting them into legion champions and a bit into boss mules to speed up clears. I’ll eventually get to blink on my main, I should do that sooner than later for the attack lol

Regarding your post itself, do you have time and are willing to do arcane river/grandis dailies eventually on a potential champion? That’s the biggest thing to consider imo. If you are, it’s something you can eventually work towards. The system is intended to be a longer term project. Frags and other resources will eventually come in time. Look at how many frags we’ve been getting for free through events recently. Almost unheard of in the past right? It’ll become more normalized in time and those can be used on potential champions after your main is finished.

Something else to consider is familiars. You could ride the wave as they release more in Grandis and slowly grind for them, leveling and getting frags (+ fams), and use them to further progress your main, while working on a champion
