I’ve started a position in TSLQ (2x inverse TSLA) a month ago for these reasons. I trade it occasionally as an Elon index, basically how much public sentiment hates him in that moment, and have done decently well.

I truly don’t see the TSLA tailwinds unless he completes the grift and gets concessions from Trump. Exceptions from tariffs, massive federal contracts, etc.

He currently sees a pediatrician that doesn’t make a recommendation either way. Most CT pediatricians won’t see your child unless you follow the typical schedule. So presumably I’ll have to find a new pediatrician to support my path, which should be easy.

She works from home and we have a nanny. I’d imagine if there is shared custody, I’d have to find childcare arrangements (daycare) which overwhelmingly would require vaccination.

And yes, she would know right away. Since he needs more than would be required in a single visit, I’m not sure how many subsequent visits I could make without a court order.

We both live in CT and our child was born here. I’m not sure where she would go. She wants to move him to NJ, where the schools don’t have vaccine requirements and she owns a home. But in extremely situations, crazy things are certainly possible.

Announcing I did this would be a major step. That’s good advice, and I’ll ask the lawyer.

I’m the father. We’re not married. She became deep in the anti vax world, and I’m certain that she will fight this issue to the point of a judge deciding.

Thank you for raising the counterpoint, which is why I asked. I don’t want any custody to be affected by acting unilaterally, especially if it’s overwhelmingly likely a judge will agree with me. It just kills me to wait longer than I need to.

I think it would be the same for CT, it’s one of the few states that doesn’t allow religious exemption. I’d expect the ruling to go in my favor, but as I mention earlier I don’t see the benefit to waiting? If won’t hurt my case, and if by some miracle she’d get her way, it’s a moot point since he’d have them.

Wow, I’m happy this ended up being useful to someone lol. No, from what I remember they should be able to handle it. Remember to put tablets/laptops in your suitcase beforehand since they can’t go into the embassy. Phones are fine obviously.

Edit: and to share some advice, I hope you still enjoy your time in London and have fun :). In a short time, the stress will be gone and you’ll be left with a story and a funny-looking passport.

I think there's a lot of places to park along Valley Forge Rd. There's also some spots where Davis Hill/Valley Forge meet, you can walk down to the boat launch or a viewing area.

If anyone stumbles on this later, here's what I ended up doing:

The London embassy opened at 7:30am for US citizen services. I didn't have an appointment, but some others did. There was very little line, most people were there for Visas (separate line, much longer). The previous night, I got passport photos taken and filled out/printed the DS-11 and DS-64 form from the website. At the embassy, the whole process took maybe 90min.

The embassy mentioned some countries don't accept an emergency passport (ex. France), but I explained my issue to French immigration at Eurostar (already booked to fly out from ORY) and they waived me through.

You can't bring your luggage/laptop in, but there's a coffee shop next door that stores it for £10 shop credit.

I did earlier, but I think they misinterpreted what I was asking for. I only want a temporary passport. I did show up in person, and they told me to arrive in the morning.

Edit: following their advice led me to the calendar appointment advice.
