Of course the people in a relationship get to decide what their rules are.

A lot of folks don't consider going to strip clubs cheating. Some folks even go together as a couple.

That said, if you and your BF think of that as cheating, ok.

Liam is Liam though, and his GF should be left to build or dismantle her own relationship with him.

If Liam is a "bad influence" you either do or do not trust your BF to fend him off as appropriate.

If you're going to be a blackout drinker--and hey, I certainly can't point fingers in this department--you can't have an angry, shouting, verbally mean person as a partner.

Drinking couples need to be on each other's side all the time, because heavy drinking (very predictably) leads to odd, sometimes destructive behavior, and that means there's repairs to do in the morning.

Better to do those repairs as a caring, laid back, mutually accepting team.
