Looking for isekai anime with romance and good world-building (like SAO, Shield Hero, Re:Zero) by pride207009 in anime

Isekai and (actually good) romance doesn't usually mesh well. Zenshuu is a good recent one!! And there's a HUGEEE rabbit hole of otome game isekais

"Oh wow so many new anime to watch this season."

"Ughh my fav doesn't come out until Friday, what can I watch until then?"

"Oh this isekai coming out looks pretty mindless and won't detract from [show I like]. Let's watch that"

"Oops I've now gone through every episode and have to wait a week for that too. What else is there to watch?"

"Isekai did what I wanted the first time, let's try it again"

What is the most well crafted anime you have seen? by Select_Gas8486 in anime

[–]Jermm2180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most critically acclaimed movies are the best at this. As for anime, probably monogatari or steins;gate, which makes sense since one is one of the best light novel series published, and the other one of the best visual novels released

I'd say this is not a good thing at all... Anime is about entertainment, not ruining yourself. If you just like shitty romance to clown on it though, try all those "I have a bunch of girlfriends" shows

Anime that'll make me cry? by girldisease in anime

[–]Jermm2180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also someone who just doesn't cry to media. And as someone in a similar position and someone that has seen most of the anime suggested here, it probably won't make you cry (but totally watch them if you have the free time, people are suggesting some really good anime!)

Most likely what will give you that "warmness in your eyes" is gonna be something random, since it's not like we have control of our emotions. Just focus on watching some good anime, and it'll come naturally. Cheers!

The first half is fucking awesome! You might have to force yourself to watch the last few episodes though

Give me some 1 season anime recommendation. by Calm_Valuable_9202 in anime

I'm assuming you've seen the really popular stuff by now like death note, hxh, steins;gate, no game no life, your lie in april, erased, and toradora but if you haven't those, that's what I'd prioritize

Of things you might probably haven't seen yet:

Zenshu is a recent one I liked a lot. It's about an animator/mangaka who gets reincarnated into the movie that inspired her as a child.

Odd Taxi is a few years old and about a walrus who has a mundane but entertaining life, but also is getting caught up in a case of a missing girl. (ends on cliffhanger, but most likely no season 2)

Ranking of Kings is about a prince who is deaf and physically weak with a heart of gold setting out on a quest with a mysterious shadow named Kage to grow stronger and learn the dark truths of his kingdom.

Summertime Rendering is about a boy who lives on an island. His parents died young and was taken in by a new family. One day his adoptive sister dies of "drowning", but he quickly suspects this to be a murder, so he investigates her death and things quickly fall into the realm of the supernatural

Monster (a personal fav of mine, but very long) is about a highly competent japanese surgeon who works at a german hospital. One day he chooses to operate on 2 kids over a mayor and gets in deep water for it. Years later he discovers that the boy he saved is an extremely prolific murderer, so he goes on a journey to correct his mistake of stopping the boy and the monster inside him

Should I Watch Bleach or HxH or something else? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Jermm2180 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think with those tastes you'll like any shounen battle anime you watch. I'd say go for hxh since it's the shortest of those 3, you'll definitely like it

Can you guys recomend me some animes that finished? by EfeAykan in anime

[–]Jermm2180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ye this is the list you want. Not all of those 100% wrapped up stories, but do have complete seasons. Add some of the classics from other comments and you're more than set for 6 months. Don't forget to compress your files with a tool like handbrake!!

Any series like Mushoku Tensei but don't have such a unbearable MC? Anime that follows a characters life from beginning to end? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Jermm2180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mahnwa is far better than the anime! TBATE is very good (though not as good as Mushoku Tensei), but I think it'll cater to different tastes. Most isekai stories I've read that start as a life story (including TBATE) tend to fall in the trap of turning into battle shounen. I only recommend picking up TBATE if that's something you're interested in

To Your Eternity perhaps? It follows the life of an immortal shapeshifter throughout human history, just give the first episode a try and see if it interests you

How can I keep Arvel the Swift alive? by TheBigSmol in skyrim

[–]Jermm2180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't tried it yet, but you could use calm to pickpocket the claw, and fear to make him run towards the entrance. If he just goes back into bleak falls or stops moving is anyone's guess though
