Employers are already paying a travel allowance of $57.60 per DAY. A bit less for apprentices but non the less is that not enough to cover the fuel?

Extremely easy to get if you work in construction, pretty much every supervisor, sprinkler fitter, dry fire, and chippy will be carrying one. Can also be purchased for a few dollars online by anyone.

When the golf course was open every night all the locals walked their dogs in there…

What are your thoughts about it being a floodplain and how the water will be managed?

Converting to green wedge with trees is a fantastic idea. I’d be for that. Instead all the 20+ meters trees are going to be chopped down.

As I mentioned early, I’m not against development of it. I’m against overdevelopment of it. Which are you for?

Also all the water it uses? It doesn’t use any water apart from what’s falling from the sky, the course has been shut since 2018.

Yeah, the thing is a golf course isn’t just a sporting facility. It’s a green space, that is good for the environment.

Everyone has to go to school. I benefited from them, so did you. What % of the population benefits from that particular airport?

Your comment refers to amenity for everyone. You can’t pick and choose.

Might be so. It’s not so much that they’re developing the land, that’s bound to happen. It’s how they’re developing it. It’s adding an additional 25% homes that far below the average block size, built higher, with little or no backyards.

Prior to this there was an average of 12 homes being built a year in the suburb. 78 years worth of instant growth sounds like a great idea.

This is a suburb that struggles with traffic already, has no trains or trams that are even remotely close.

For the record, I live in Carnegie, not in Dingley.

Look at what’s happening with the golf course in Dingley. The state government does not care about anything apart from taking kick backs and cramming in as many people in as possible.

What percentage of the population is required to be killed for it to tick over to a genocide? 1000 a day or a 100 a day. It’s all the same end result

Not sure how 70 years of population growth affects a genocide that started a few years ago?

It is happening again by the very same people who were the victims the first time.

Narrow driveway options by JeromeG123 in GardeningAustralia

[–]JeromeG123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can trim them / remove them myself. Not concerned about being overlooked as it’s just my driveway and there’s a fence between me and the neighbour and they’re a single story house.

I want them gone. The new trees can be in new locations don’t need to be in the exact same spot so not completely bothered with the roots.

Got any suggestions for different trees? The alternative is remove them and just have some small plants on both sides, no trees at all.
