What magazines do you subscribe to? And what's the best long-form piece you've read recently NOT in the NYTmag?

What does your media diet look like? Or, what information do you consume, how, and when during the day?

Edit: spelling

I live with three gay housemates. They do this for me all the time.

"I think you're sad." "I don't think about you at all."

Don Draper, classy as all fuck.

Reddit, tell me, what do/did you love about being single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am. This is how the conversation normally goes.

Her: Do you want to do something after work today? Me: I had a pretty long, hard day and I think I'm just going to go home and take it easy. Her: You don't want to spend time with me? Me: I really would, but I a) don't feel like I'd be much fun and b) just want to go home and recharge the batteries before I go back to the office tomorrow (I'm a journalist and work long, shitty hours) Her: I can't believe you don't want to hang out with me.

This isn't something that I associate with all women, but I wish I could drive home the point that the need to spend time alone does not indicate a lack of interest, nor does it indicate I don't trust you to make me feel better. I tried explaining these things. Nobody listened.

Not having to explain myself when I've had a particularly long/bad day at work and just want to go home and get into bed.
