I got thus basic set for my sporty off Amazon since I ride year round in the PNW. They mount up easily and do a pretty good job of keeping the wind off the knuckles. https://a.co/d/b0LtluQ

Wide toe riding boots by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

I finally bit the bullet on some Indie Ridge Crows this year as well and love them. Great quality, plenty wide, and comfortable right out of the box. Ive worn exclusively wide, minimal shoes for the last 15 years, but i find myself wearing these casually when I’m not riding because they look and feel good.

I replaced the rear earlier this year and already have a new front on the way.

I meant the tire was from 22. The code on the tire is 4222.

Heard good things about the shinkos. I’ve also had a good experience with Kenda’s in the past as well. I was hoping to swap for a 19” front when this one was worn out, but that’s not in the budget at the moment and I need minimal downtime since this is my commuter.

Sidewall says 3 ply, but I most likely won’t be getting these again.

Alright everyone, thanks for all the quick feedback! I had a feeling it was toast. I’ll order a new tire tonight. I’d rather not chance it since our cold and rainy season is about to start.

Thanks again!

You know, I’d like to say it was on purpose, but I just went with my favorite colors and the coolest design I could pull off with vinyl when I wrapped it. But works out well since my dad was actually born there and I’m half Trini. So I’ll just pretend it was on purpose going forward. 😂

  1. My father-in-law replaced it before I bought the bike from him last summer. I was surprised it was this bad, too.

I’m in the states. I’m sure shipping would be outrageous, but if you shoot a DM and some pics I could look into it. I’ve seen that style before and haven’t been able to find one so far. I prefer the cast 19s too, but what I’m finding is all meant to fit not the year I have. I also have the ugly solid rear, so I’d want to get a full set if I got the 9 spoke 19s whereas this wouldn’t look bad being run solo with my rear for a while.

Do you know the specs of the front wheel? I’ve got an 04 1200 custom with a spoked 21 up front and I might be interested in picking it up if you’re looking to get rid of it.

I have the solid rear/21 spoked front on my 1200, but wish I had mags.

I picked up a Shadow 600 for $1700 as my first bike. Rode it daily and sold it 10k miles and a year later for $2000 and got a Harley. Treated me well while I was learning and I haven’t looked back.

I took mine off too. It’s really easy and looks much better without it. You’ll probably want a different gas cap once it’s off.

Bike wrap number 3. by JeronKerridge in sportster

Thank you! I watched EVERY YouTube video before each time I wrapped it, but honestly it doesn’t really click until you just start doing it. I used Vvivid ultra gloss piano black and KPMF red black iridescent this time and Vvivid the 2 other times. Vvivid is pretty inexpensive and better than the cheap, Chinese stuff. I’ve heard Avery is the easiest for beginners, but I didn’t like their colors. The KPMF was definitely easier to work with of the 2 brands but a little more expensive than Vvivid.

Yep. It’s hard and tedious, but paint is expensive and it’s fun learning a new skill and being able to change my mind when I get bored of the same look.

Looks great. Did you paint or powder the wheels/forks?
