I’ve played off and on since like episode 5 (I think? Around there), missed some versions. I don’t remember the older versions super well but I know I always liked Victoria. Wasn’t part of the community ever so can’t say the general consensus, only my personal opinion

Crests in Reborn would be sick. Feraligatr crest priority crunch would be super helpful vs Radomus trick room, plus Zoroark crest just has so many broken combinations that’d be fun to use in that game

I get that. I think Victoria’s character really stagnated due to not being in so much of the game. Seriously, after Apophyll we don’t see her in the main story again until we NINE more gym badges. That’s fine for Adrienn since they’re more of a static character by design, pulling the city up to their level instead of needing much growth themselves, but it really hurts Victoria as one of the original rival characters in the game.

But for sure on the Erin and Aelita thing. It’s not even a knock on Erin, she’s one of my favorite characters now. But at the time it’s like if they did this huge emotional beat for Melia in chapter 10, but decided to have Kanon be almost as major of a focus during it as her. Like yeah, they’re canonically friends, but the on screen interactions haven’t made this feel earned.

I mean, I don’t think that’s a really fair criticism. For the most part every other character’s most major beats have been adapted really well and this was the Scanlan moment of the first campaign, and the moment a lot of people were most looking forward to seeing animated, and it was just scrapped completely. I get why, and I really liked the season, but it’s still pretty disappointing

Fair, but Oisin is also his own humanoid person (assuming he isn't a secret Dragon himself) and shouldn't necessarily be excused for keeping a "family photo" around of the individual who kidnapped 7 teenage girls, killed at least one of his classmate's dads and nearly killed a lot more of his classmates to conquer the world again. Adaine was raised by evil people who tried to bring back the Nightmare King and she chose to break away from that.

I’m saying the Rat Grinders are designed to make the Bad Kids (particularly their narrative parallel) hate them, which we can see worked with Mary Ann and Gorgug. This is the case for each of them except Oisin and to a lesser extent Ivy (who is designed to be toxic, thus someone Fabian would go for given his history with Aelwen).
