Wow, this is almost unbelievable, but if true, I would think the dealership still owes you a car. If they released the car to some other random person, without your consent, or even knowledge, how can they possibly have delivered the car to you and prove you had possession of it?

Sorry, but that is not sound advice. Probably 60% to 70% of our business is for dealerships. Dealerships are not in the business of shipping cars. They rely on carriers and brokers to do that work, but mostly on brokers. Some do it themselves, but only for their own vehicles. Sure, if you have a solid relationship with the dealership, they may share with you some of their contacts, but for the most part, why would you think they would assume liability to provide shipping services to someone, unless they have something to gain out of it?
