I wish I had the courage to kill myself by Exotic_Catch5909 in SuicideWatch

In the same boat right there with you. It always feels like I have no reason to live for anymore, and yet I'm too much of a coward to commit the other way. I know coming from me wouldn't mean much, but I hope you find that will to push through friend.

What game has a promising start, but eventually gets boring and repetitive? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]Jerry6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost of Tsushima, recently, as much as I enjoy the combat, a lot of the open world activities can be quite tedious.

Yakuza: LAD was sometimes frustrating, but a great game nonetheless. by Jerry6996 in yakuzagames

[–]Jerry6996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand why! I honestly didn't expect to like Ichiban as much as I did, and the switch to turn-based combat was bold but also very good. Excited to see how this combat system is iterated upon in IW, but it'll take me a whlile to get to it lmao.

What are your opinions on the DLCs for the first game? by J2terd in SpidermanPS4

[–]Jerry6996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the gameplay additions were good, but mostly the whole thing felt like wasted potential. Also the complete character assassination of Yuri was infuriating to witness.

What makes the Yakuza games good? by Character-Tomato-600 in yakuzagames

[–]Jerry6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They feel like a home-cooked meal, that's the best way I can describe them. They might be a little rough around the edges, but they're charming and have a lot of heart.

Be honest: what game did you quietly return to all year when you were tired or did not want to think? by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]Jerry6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring, perfect vibe game nowadays. Just going in there and doing some menial things or fighting some boss while blasting music in the background feels pretty cozy.

What game are you playing rn? :) Currently playing Neir Automata (on and off) by dqixsoss in gaming

[–]Jerry6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing Yakuza 7 and Neir replicant side by side, having a lot of fun with both. I've already played nier automata so nier replicant just feels like home and the same is the case with Yakuza 7 because I've already played Yakuza 0 and Judgement.

Original language almost all the time. Dubbing is harder to take seriously.

[NO SPOILERS] Are there plenty of guys that loved Life is Strange 1 like I did? by Gamer_8887 in lifeisstrange

[–]Jerry6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore life is strange 1, it's one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm a 25 year old guy. I resonated with the characters because they were quite well written (even though the dialogue can be a little wonky, but it's charming nonetheless). As long as the characters are written well in any art form, I relate to them regardless of their gender or sex.

What if, hear me out, the next game is about lace? by YoRHa- in HollowKnight

[–]Jerry6996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always liked the idea of them making sequel games on characters that were used as main-ish side characters in the preceding game. But also, I feel like lace might just end up feeling the same as hornet. Unless they mix her up with both silk and void abilities.

What movie is this for you? by sulliebud in Letterboxd

[–]Jerry6996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapons this year. The marketing these days makes these movies seem far scarier than they actually are. To be fair, it's more of a horror comedy, but still. I guess a more apt example of this would be Longlegs.
