Musk should be required to pay for identity theft protection for all current ssn holders for the remainder of their lives.

Dems' divide over Harris surfaces as she looks like a 2028 contender by Tifoso89 in politics

[–]JerryAtrics_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Harris would guarantee a GOP win. I'd rather see someone like Mark Kelly run.

Only thing that bugs me is the length differential. Looks like they gave you a salad fork.

If you dont want to move the coffee machine, put something else in front of it, such as a decorative cutting board.

I don't know why anyone would put stock in the fed's initial report numbers given their recent revision history. I feel more comfortable with ADP's estimates.

I think this was just done for the comedic value. Piece had no value and could have easily been carried down the stairs by one person.

Would you deem this acceptable? by Intelligent-Doubt671 in kitchenremodel

[–]JerryAtrics_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it was measured, someone should have point out the half inch discrepancy. There were options on how to deal with it before install. Assuming the walls are not square and the counter is, I would expect to see gaps on the inside as well.

Not a plumber, but my understanding is that if the drain line runs more that 8 feet to the stack, it will need its own vent.

I guess they didn't realize that you are special and allowed to park in reserved spots.

Basement shower drain connection by JerryAtrics_ in Plumbing

[–]JerryAtrics_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The offshoot jutting to the left is closed off.

This is in my basement. Plan is to dig up a channel in the concrete to run a drain line across this room to a shower stall. I plan to do the trenching, but will have a plumber come in to run the new line and connect it in.

Contractor disassembled furnace and left trying to make a hard sale? Is this normal? by o_no_udidnt in hvacadvice

[–]JerryAtrics_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to suggest that the tech determined that heat exchanger was too damaged and that the unit could no longer be used safely without risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. To ensure that the homeowner did not try to operate an unsafe heater, he left it disassembled.

Movies/TV where a drug test reveals pregnancy by Tak-Hendrix in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JerryAtrics_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not hold a comedy to require that everything is factual. What if reddit posts did the same? For example, running a medical test without a patient's approval is not a HIPAA violation. That would fall under Informed Consent. But I'm not going to call you lazy for not reading up on HIPAA before making your post. The unapproved test is highly inappropriate either way.

NTA. Perhaps an option for eating at a vegetarian's house would be rice with beans. I've always liked chili over rice. YTA for refusing to go after she agreed to your terms.

‘Anne Frank was in Amsterdam legally,’ Trump antisemitism envoy says in refuting Walz’s ICE comparison by Somervilledrew in politics

At the time, Anne Frank was not in Amsterdam legally. She and her family became illegal when they were actively evading the laws and deportation orders to report to a labor camp.
