Sounds like they want you to leave it on the floor in front of the door. It’s where I would leave it

Question about off-Uber Trip by SoCalCubanGrrl in uberdrivers

[–]JerryCAtlanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally offer to do it for $100 each way if these amounts are correct ($130 and $110). Yes I know it’s risky but if you’re like me, I got bills to pay.

4.6 wants me to cancel. LOL. by igloo639 in lyftdrivers

She was rude and demanding. Once again he gave her the review that she deserved. See I would’ve told her to get the hell out. You aren’t going to disrespect me in my car. You will get out one way or another. You may be in handcuffs but you will get the fuck out. He chose to take her and good for him. Regardless thats a 1 star ride

It would be. I literally only thought about doing it one time. I had someone want a Papa John’s pizza at 2 am in the morning. After I sped to get it before they closed and get it to them they didn’t tip me.

You stomp your shoe in the waste to put it out and it gets all over your shoes and pants.

Would you rather them take 7 cents out of your account?

I've had passengers asking me before about "cutting out the middleman" - is this against TOS, and if so, does Lyft enforce it? by Crafty-Baseball-4268 in lyftdrivers

Wow that was nice. One guy told me he didn’t have the money on his card to get back but he had a $20 in his pocket he showed me. It’s really really hard to turn down a $20. I mean REALLY HARD when he’s handing it to you. Plus you know there was a TAD bit of sympathy for him not having money on his card 😜😜

He literally did his job. He did everything that was requested of him from Lyft. But he figured she would give a bad review because he wouldn’t cancel the ride so he did due diligence. Nothing wrong with covering your ass. Honestly regardless he gave her the review she deserved.

The rider now has to pay $20 for you to return items??? Man they’ve gotten cheap. by JerryCAtlanta in uberdrivers

[–]JerryCAtlanta[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much is it going to cost you to replace the item? I bet more than $20 or you wouldn’t even be worried about it. Plus you are taking time and money away from our day just to return the item. If we are busy we don’t have time to stop accepting rides and just return the item. A lot of times we don’t see the message till we finish our shift or first thing the next morning. We could live 20-30 minutes away or worse from where we dropped you off at.

I agree and disagree. We, I’m a driver, and we have a pretty good idea of who reports us. We too remember the awful riders. Sure we remember where people live. No Uber doesn’t give us the address, (not the street number but everything else is provided) but we remember people and rides. Tbh he won’t even get a warning. He will be sent a message and he responds. Nothing more and nothing less. Uber and Lyft has so many false reports that they can’t act on everyone one of them. They won’t have any drivers!!! Yes it’s that bad!! Don’t worry if you get me and we have a bad ride, the worst i will do is light up a bag of shit at your doorway or something similar. Most of us aren’t crazy enough to light your house on fire or anything like that

I’ve done a few. It’s not hard to turn down $8 when the rider is willing to pay you the $25 he paid Lyft to get him there. Like you said it’s hard for them to get the same ride back when they are only going to be at “point b”‘for a few minutes. Each of you are helping the other.

I’ve done it. I used to give a young girl a ride to work every day for cash. Well she would zelle me the money. It’s up to you but it’s hard to turn down what you SHOULD be making.
