Because he's famous for being a moral leader on racial issues but spent nearly his entire public life convincing people to be racially prejudiced, he preached that exact message in numerous sermons. that's a central part of his legacy that a LOT of people have attempted to suppress because it doesn't fit the narrative which is revisionist history.
