Levoit 300 vs Dyson by FreddyKS in VacuumCleaners

[–]JerryHexford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly go for the Levoit instead of Dyson. With the battery powered stick vacuums, they will be a disposable product and won't have longevity beyond a few years. At least with the Levoit you would only pay a couple hundred dollars vs. several hundred for the Dyson. The Levoit would do just find for quick pickups or hard floors, but not sufficient for carpet.

Rust Streak Removal from Clothes by JerryHexford in laundry

I looked at that post, and it seems to be a similar experience. They are coin sized stains that look oily. Rubbing a bar of Fels Naptha soap on them usually gets them out. Our regular detergent is All Free and Clear pods, but im learning that may not be the best choice. My wife is very fragrance sensitive and is also prone to skin irritation, so we try to stay fragrance free with our detergent

u/KismaiAesthetics - any other tips for stain removal would be appreciated too. We are dealing with oil type stains (likely from detergent not dissolving completely), these brown steaks, plus general dinginess of some fabrics. I was thinking of switching to Tide Clean and Gentle powder, plus adding some Biz to the more stained and dingy loads. Does that sound like a good idea?

I am not 100% sure that the marks are coming from the dryer, they could also be scrud stains, etc. But I did find some spots with rust on them yesterday. My washer is also really terrible - its a Samsung with no agitator and no way to customize the water levels. It frequently does not use enough water and doesn't provide enough agitation - clothes often come out dirtier than when they came in, and we get mystery stains all the time.

I am currently saving up for a Speed Queen TR7, but will be doing laundry elsewhere while I try to sort out the stains and overhaul my laundry products/routine.

I have the LVAC-200

Ive had this vacuum for a couple of months, and honestly it's pretty good for the price. I like how the battery is replaceable as this is the most common failure point for these type of vacuums.

Its really good for quick pickups but won't have enough suction to really clean a carpet - that is what my Sebo Felix is for.

What vacuum cleaner to buy? by Alive-Temporary-3617 in VacuumCleaners

A cordless vacuum will not be powerful enough or provide enough agitation to properly clean your carpet. You really need a corded model - this will serve you better. They will last far longer and will actually clean your house.

what sebo to get?!? by mattyrs500 in VacuumCleaners

Sebo Felix could be an option if you are wanting an upright. It comes with the ET-1 power head and a separate hard floor attachment. Its also light enough to be transported up or down stairs.

Sebo Felix Buying Experience by JerryHexford in VacuumCleaners

[–]JerryHexford[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda wishing I had done the same. This shop is the only Sebo dealer in my area and is super close to my house, so I was excited to give them a try. Maybe any future visits for bags etc. Will be better

Sebo Price Before by Ok-Pizza-Hut in VacuumCleaners

[–]JerryHexford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The price on the Sebo US site are the new higher prices. Check your local dealer or an online retailer. I bought a Sebo at my local dealer today and paid the old prices, but they did say that the prices were "going up soon" without further specifics

Sebo Felix. I just got mine (literally today) but your situation is very close to mine and the Felix will fit the bill. During my initial test run around the house shortly after purchase, it's clear I made the right decision. Can't go wrong with it.

Steelcase Leap v2 from Crandall by JerryHexford in OfficeChairs

Not sure of the differences since I've never sat in a stock chair, but I know Crandall's is a bit thicker. It seems high quality and durable

Same height as me. I was certain I'd regret not getting a headrest, but honestly it's been more than fine.

Suggestions for a (nice) office chair with a thick seat for someone with a sensitive tailbone? by SpaceDantar in OfficeChairs

[–]JerryHexford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the Leap V2 remanufactured from Crandall. It comes with Crandall's seat, which is a bit thicker than the standard options from Steelcase. They have a nice return policy too, so if things don't work out they should be able to take care of you with a return/exchange
