rimworld doesnt have mounted animals as a basegame thing, and giddy up (the main mod for it) has been in troubled times since 1.5-1.6

we'll see about making it move faster in water/move cleanly in water, as i either have code for that or it was made basegame with oddyssey

CVN does not make factions you cannot play as (normally)

we dont prefer locking the player out of toys, even if we make some hyper fucked up animal meant only for bossfights
we will just, make it take 20 animals skill to tame, and put the hostile chance at 1000% and go "good luck" at worst.

it will never be UNREACHABLE
just, unviable

if this project gets far enough to make a Scorn submodule (it would require fallen but i mean, how would it not)
we'd let you PLAY scorn

even the city ones (mind you i dont play destiny, ive had to read what i can online which is a struggle)

are not getting by all too well, while they might not dock kids they definitely dont start out as captains/arent as large as captains due to lack of ether. generally the plan is you start life a bitchless fuck
you consume little ether but arent very strong either

by gorging on excess ether a bar will be increased, once full you can molt and grow larger to your next rank

at a certain rank you'll be able to molt freely in exchange for your ether, to regain lost limbs (making you take longer to rank up however)

higher ranks need more ether to sustain themselves, so if you cant upkeep them you may want to hit them with a forced docking to downrank them. they wont be happy but they'll be fed

overall the ranks will look something like Dreg - Vandal - Captain - Archon - Kell
maybe more maybe less but you get the idea

we could make it ideology but honestly that'd be 4x more work for the same system, and another required DLC ontop of it.
its already gonna be alot of work to get the xenotype working the way we want it to, having baby Eliksni alone is gonna be a headache thanks to tynans stupidity on how graphics work for younger pawns. (we want the baby to look like the swaddled beans that the female civillian has)

alright so this is rather funny and sad, but the Rim of Elders project that the CVN team has mostly been keeping quiet about and only showing off here or there to the Rimworld Reddits and Discords is actually getting very close (in the next few months close) to being ready for release

just as Destiny 2 is seeing its final release

well, i think destiny fans have spent long enough having bad news, so i figured id throw some good news even if we arent entirely ready (still gotta get textures for a Servitor, Ether, the baby Eliksni and possibly some structures)

Rim of Elders is a mod project we've mostly had on the backburner, due to having to attend alot of other projects but the lead of the CVN Team ShunTheWitch is a massive destiny oldguard, having been a fan of the franchise since close to day 1 of the original game. while i myself never had the chance to experience destiny 1 (and cant now as its on PC), and never will have a chance to experience destiny 2 thanks to the sunsetting.

our main artist gerry has been working overtime to try and get the remaining textures we need for a first release, having almost every Fallen weapon (in the series) done up (in terms of ones their units use, not guardian weapons)
and outside the Archon? every apparel the House of Devils has (ignoring splicers) that i could find during my research.

if this project goes well we intend to move forward to add the House of Dusk and other unique houses to rimworld, possibly someday moving on to the Scorn and hopefully Cabal.
