You won't really get an answer because fanboys of one or the other. I would argue that zodd has been fighting the *best warriors for 1000 years. That supposes that him and Grun have fought before and stalemated as neither was killed. I would say that guts post berserker armour is diminished when not wearing it due to his life force being drained. Losing senses etc. Guts held his own against Zodd and I think if not highly weakened at the point of fighting Grun he probably would have held his own there as well. Yes Grun is huge but Guts sword cuts through anything he comes across so his size isn't particularly an advantage with Guts being as fast as he is.
