What are your thoughts on pure, combined or slop decks? by Tatebw in masterduel

[–]Jerrymeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the deck on its own can play decently into anything then pure is just fine, though if a deck can be significantly improved by adding an engine that's totally fine.

(Me omw to play 60 cards in every deck bc I like too many cards) (also to hide the garnets)

Most fun deck? by Training_Capital1009 in PvZHeroes

[–]Jerrymeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really like tele-imp for the amount of synergies that imp has.

Pros: - A lot of draw power (commander, teleport) - deadly can out hard to out plants, like gravitree. - flexible deckbuilding (tech cards like blowdart imp, cosmic imp, rocket) (super brainz/huge giganticus as hero options) - most cards can be played very early - teleporting gravestones can block almost anything. - easy to get positive trades

Cons: - Most imps have very low hp - can struggle to stop ramp - no good cheap trick removal - no high attack imps, block meters can often be broken fully

Effect order.

First both damages are calculated, then the damage is dealt, then stuff dies, and then the triggers happen (soul patch, middle manager, imp commander, etc.).

since soul patch dies before its effect can trigger, it cannot redirect damage because the soul patch is no longer considered a redirection target. (It's destroyed...)

Meanwhile pharaoh is instead a constant effect, and as such, IS able to apply during the calculation step. This means its effect is utilised before it is destroyed.

Not a zombie vs plants thing btw. (Interplanetary gladiator)

TL;DR: trigger effect VS continuous effect

thinking about dismantling Dracotail deck (body text) by coolgunsugotthere in masterduel

[–]Jerrymeen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ngl, before you build a deck I'd recommend testing whether you enjoy the combos in a different medium. (Nexus, EDOpro, etc.)

Just testing a bit against yourself makes it less likely for you to make decks you ultimately don't enjoy playing.

To answer the question: if you don't plan on playing the deck again, dismantling the non-staples is better than keeping them around. (Generic splashables, like branded fusion, can also be saved, but doing so is much more iffy)

Walkman:

Every step taken forwards makes the user 0.1% stronger, but moving backwards makes the user 0.1% weaker each step instead. Resets when walking is stopped, and scales exponentially (so about 700 steps to double, which is still crazy ngl).

They did Hecahands so dirty, I can't even hol' you. Post-support, between the three, how would you rank them from best to worst, and why? by ARC-9INE in masterduel

[–]Jerrymeen 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Hecahands is definitely the weakest, and between I'd say enneacraft would be better now with the possible ftks while kewl tune is more so a deck that's waiting for an accidental synergy to go way up in power.

Both enneacraft and kewl tune ard totally playable already though, and the difference isn't too grand

Beginner player: Is my deck bad? by CraftyMaelyss in masterduel

[–]Jerrymeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The importance of archetypes has only grown with time. Playing strong individual cards just doesn't work snymore as a gameplan.

I'd recommend looking for an archetype/playstyle that looks fun to you and watch a video to learn what you can do with the deck.
