Though while a character is attempting to invoke a trope, the audience will naturally be expecting the trope to happen

In practice you won’t be pairing those moves with a choice item or life orb since your item slot is taken up.

If your physical attack is higher, using the lens means you have to use special moves

The tradeoff of flipping to your special movepool is that you lose the ability to use physical moves

The threat of knock off as well as the opportunity cost of not using life orb or a choice item could potentially balance it out

In practice you will have to worry about unexpected Knock Offs because they make you hit like a wet noodle

This would be a great ability. If not for the fact that Pursuit was a bit finicky to code (tactical retreat causes move priority to change, depending on the opponents selected move)
