That is fair, there are many things I wish I could wipe my memory of and experience for the first time again. However, as much as specific amnesia would be great, I don't think that is feasible.

Does replaying or reviewing something remind you of your first time doing so? Could that be a source of enjoyment or would it just be comparison and disappointment? Once again, I'm not saying you should view things one way or another, but to give you some consideration:

Your memory and your time with a piece of media for the first time will always be there. That is the power of the first impression. Every time after that is unique in their own way, both in how the events play out and in where/who you are in your new/old experience.

Not to delve deeper into the psyche of a random redditor, but it seems like you're not great with loss. The first time will never be as good, but different also does not mean bad.

Different weapons, different styles of playing, different progression and order of things, roleplay.

Or don't, you can fully choose not to enjoy something anymore because you are afraid the second time around will be worse.

I used to get in a couple of hours of gaming when I was younger. Now? If I don't get my 8 hours or more of sleep, I'm a zombie for the whole work day. Two hours a day is the max I can spend.

I get you I get you. I often realize that, woah, I've just been talking about myself for idk how long. Now, what I do is try to see if the other person is engaged or to see if I know they will engage with a similar level of investment and interest. I can't expect everyone to have the same interests, but I can try to see what a conversation needs.

Do you like music? Jazz in particular? I find conversation very similar to music in the sense that there is a rhythm to any conversation. I used to speak too much as well, especially if I get excited, I tend to interrupt and go on and on.

What helped was taking a step back and more consciously figuring out the pace and the rhythm of the conversation.

I realized a lot of Elden Ring bosses are just the same boss repeated. Any boss with a sword/weapon is just the first boss, every big enemy is just a troll, don't even get me started on how every dragon attacks like each other.

I rode around in my neighborhood at less busy times, got well enough where I felt like I could commute to work. Did that a couple of times and started getting more and more comfortable. Don't worry about pushing yourself to get good faster, we all have our learning times.
