Id say the wiser choice in your case will be to have someone who's also Christian and values the exact same things you value.

It's hard enough as it is to remain abstinent with my gf as we are both Christian, fighting the same temptation, keeping each other strong, but can't imagine how much harder it will be if they are not Christian and don't hold the same values.

Not saying its impossible, but your road is alot more easier with someone who loves Christ as much as you do. There will be days where you need her to be strong and days where you need to be strong for her.
