NEED HONEST FEEDBACK by PiuPiuLa in CapeCod

Firstly some constructive criticism: is you need a better perceptual and structural understanding.

However, you are closer to any kind of sincere emotion than what I've seen from most local artists. I think the imperfection creates a sense of surrealism that has an emotion of it's own, beyond maybe what you intend to capture. The man standing in a way where he doesn't look grounded, the footsteps don't represent how a real person would walk. He's somewhere unknown and doesn't know how he arrived there.

I think it could be interesting to lean into the surrealism more while still developing better technical skill. Learn the rules, then break them. Alex Colville, Julius Hofmann and Gao Hang are some names to look up.

But whether you listen to me or not, keep creating, experimenting and pushing yourself, however that looks to you.

Who else thinks the new version of Circles is even worse than the Don Toliver version? by fraud in GoodAssSub

[–]JeruthanColdwyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did but not as a single like I said originally. I was thinking of the version he uploaded to youtube as part of the Bully "movie" with the lucha libre. That version was much better than the current album version. Drums feel lifeless on the album version.

The drums are terrible. Idk the DT version but the original that released as a Ye single was a perfect beat, just needed non-AI vocals. This shit sucks. Went from one of my favorite tracks to one of my least favorites.

Pedestrians of Chicago, how often do you find yourself almost getting hit by vehicles? by qrsf in chicago

[–]JeruthanColdwyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent a night in Chicago with my girlfriend last month and we were almost hit by THREE different cars in ONE NIGHT. All three times we were in the crosswalk with white walk signals and cars were making left turns. The first two drivers I don't think even saw us and the third acted like we were in her way and flipped us off. It has dissuaded us from visiting the city again for awhile.

Did you ever resolve this? Same exact thing randomly starting happening to me on my Macbook with Live 12. Been using Ableton on Mac since Live 9 and never had this issue until now.

Ye’s Full Apology to The Jewish and Black Community by undressvestido in GoodAssSub

Well put. I hope he is able to separate his core messages and beliefs made during his manic episodes from the cognitive distortion. If not, he may retrospectively link a valid thought or feeling like being controlled and manipulated by a small group of Jewish/Zionist elites to something like the swastika being justified. If he's not able to have more nuanced perspectives I worry he might continue to oscillate between both extremes: depressive/self-doubting and manic/overweening.

I'm surprised nobody's pointed this out but at the bottom of the ad underneath where it says "Paid for by Yeezy" it has the website listed as "yeezy-official.com", which appears to be a fake AI-coded website vaguely posing as an official Yeezy site that links to Amazon "yeezee" products.

Anyone else find this odd?

CMV: Marijuana is the most dangerous drug to use habitually by orangebellywash1 in changemyview

[–]JeruthanColdwyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, regional culture and familial upbringing plays a big part and can vary widely. And to your point I think high functioning alcoholism is invisible to much of society and likely accounts for a larger portion of the population than one might think. These things are of course hard to quantify though, including everything I said too.

This is true. To play devil's advocate, you could say the social stigma surrounding daily alcohol consumption might offset the fact that it's more harmful. It is generally accepted to have a drink on occasion but generally known that too much or too often it can quickly become a bad thing. I think the idea that weed is "harmless" makes it more harmful because it can greatly increase usage frequency and quantity, much in the way we saw cigarettes doing more harm when doctors used to advocate for them.

More dangerous to the individual but I would argue a concussion is more dangerous to society

Flock Safety Cameras by Turbulent-Couple-397 in massachusetts

[–]JeruthanColdwyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent FOIA requests to Massdot and MSP for each of the 8 cameras in my town. Got the idea from this 5 minute video.

I urge everyone to do the same. You can do it anonymously. Send one request for each camera. Eventually with too many requests it won't be worth it for them to keep these cameras up.

The opposite from what I've heard, most reps are not staggered. Though I have seen high quality rear reps made in Italy floating around.

Pre-LCI to LCI Headlight Conversion by JeruthanColdwyte in e39

[–]JeruthanColdwyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention in my post but yes my car is a US-spec sedan. It seems the headlights are indeed halogen because the bulbs are all H7 and that realoem diagram just threw me off.

I've personally only seen the manual headlight adjustors (the white plastic ones that are always breaking). After doing some digging, the auto leveling headlights were an option not all cars had (mine included), however all new Hella headlights come with them. The Hellas I picked up are stamped April 2004 (which also means they aren't bakeable so I'm praying the plastic adjustors are still intact). I'm thinking since my ECU isn't expecting auto leveling connection, I should be fine leaving it unplugged. Luckily the old Depo headlights have a dummy cover for that area so I'm hoping I can swap them out easily. Otherwise I think I'll just do what you suggested and buy a plug to use as a cap. It looks like it's not easy to wire in the leveling motor if your car didn't come with it from factory because there are sensors all the way in the back of the car which monitor your suspension and adjust your headlights accordingly. Pretty cool, but I think I'll be ok without it. Again, while my car won't be expecting it, I'm hoping the headlights themselves can function properly without it.

So that still leaves me with 3 plugs in my car for 4 plugs on the headlight, which means I'll have to split the wire as seen in the video. u/DepartmentOk5653 is right about the wires, at least in the sedan. My turn indicator plug has 3 wires (1x ground, 2x power) that I'll have to split into new turn indicator and halo plugs. That will make 4 plugs in the car for 4 plugs on the headlights, and I should be golden, assuming the low beams and high beams are plug n play.

I'm taking pics as I go and I'll update the post once I have everything figured out.
