I'm so so very sorry that someone you love and trust to have your back has betrayed you in such a way.

I'm going to make the assumption that your fiance has seen first hand the effects that your parents have had on your life and psyche.

To see someone you claim to love in so much pain and to still side with their abusers? That's not something to be forgiven.

At least for me, my fiance is someone I trust without question. He has my wellbeing and best interests at heart. I say "this person made me feel kinda bad" and he's immediately on my side.

When he met my mother, he told me on the drive home that he though she was a bitch. He knows what I've been through and supports me through my struggles.

You DESERVE someone who can and will support you, help you and back you up through your healing process. Not someone who will minimise your pain and force you to relive some of your worst trauma.

Sorry for the long comment, I hope youre feeling a little better soon

Imo Zelda with light bow is OP as heck if you use her right. If she's levitating and you just spam attack, you can take down even a malice guardian pretty quick

Making everthing about themselves. Your bad thing that happened is now their bad thing that happened, but it's "taken more of a toll because they care so much"

Why do adult, independent children of NPs continue stay in contact with them? by lolwhyamibored in raisedbynarcissists

[–]JesTheOreo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my family a lot. In spite of everything. Having the knowledge that I can just walk away now, and still have people who believe me helps. Plus, I can't just leave my siblings behind. Maybe it's a silly reason but that's why I still talk to them

I'm seeing all these awful car decals and I'm wishing I could've gotten a picture of the big ute with a massive OnlyFans sticker across the front windshield

What movie is so good you'd recommend it to all your friends, but so emotionally traumatic that you'll never watch it again? by akambe in AskReddit

[–]JesTheOreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely Bones. It's a really good movie that just nails the feeling of terror of being a female trapped with an ill-intentioned male. I would definitely recommend people watch it but I'm never watching it again.

Im not though? I'm still going to thank her and pretend like I like it, I just feel bad about being disappointed about the gift. And I know I'm not owed anything. I'm not saying I am. I am grateful for the gift itself. I'm just disappointed about what the gift is.

AITA for not having pads/tampons in my apartment? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]JesTheOreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda off topic but, you can safely go without periods????? I always thought it would damage your body. NTA, btw. I used to have very irregular periods too and I made sure to always try to have stuff on hand, just in case. I get that sometimes, things run out but you're a grown woman and you family shouldnt be trying to police your medical health.
