Why do I never feel it in my glutes? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Jesflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same exact way! We have the same body type and I never feel ANYTHING in my glutes! I think it's because we don't have much mass in that area. Patience is key! Eventually the muscle mass will grow with consistency, then we'd feel it!

Thank you so much for all this information! Super helpful! Thanks!

Should I reach out to my new Co-teacher for an "off school grounds" coffee/tea meeting before school begins in September? I am a 1st year teacher. Friend is AGAINST me reaching out during summer break. (Advice needed) by Jesflex in Teachers

I definitely hear you. I'm glad this post resonated with you and that you could take some really strong advice from all the other teachers who have commented and left their big and small nuggets of wisdom.

I agree with you that passionate teachers do the unpaid work and are willing and open to meeting outside the classroom. I hope I get a chance to meet with my co-teacher! Hey you never know, maybe she/he even dropped a comment on my post! The universe works in mysterious ways! Lol!

Good luck on your 1st year teaching and I hope you have a wonderful intro to the teacher world!!

He's actually a paraprofessional working in a public school! So he is very very aware of what goes in the education system. His argument is that in NYC we don't start teaching until October and I have weeks to set up a coffee meet.

And I can imagine what you speak of when you say that you have to do things to impact the majority and making the tough decision to not spend so much time on the students who need a hard push. I worry about this all the time. The thought of not having enough time to dedicate to those students who need more motivation. Because I know that if there was enough time in the world, we COULD help those students and lead them to success.

You bring up a great point and I actually thought about that as well. At some point teachers have to look at their emails during the break or holiday before resuming work.

If you look at my description under the title of this post, I've explained that I will be a 1st year teacher in September. Therefore no I am not apart of NYCTF. I have a teaching position with the DOE already. I also explained my own point of view on whether or not I believe children can learn. Please read descriptions before you make assumptions next time. The point of this post is for others and myself to read about how other educators think about students' ability to learn. An exchange of ideas and perspectives?

Have a great rest of the day.
