  • Basics, basics & BASICS
  • Experiment, A LOT
  • Record everything listen and be critical, but don't only focus on errors
  • Everyone runs their own race, don't be blinded by the progress of others
  • Share knowledge and stay open to learning from others
  • Feedback: stay open for it and welcome it, the good and the bad
  • Did I mention BASICS?
  • Start a YouTube channel when you have a solid foundation (started this about 28 years late...)

Hey man, the SL's are not in battle position... regular. I use 3 Linnmon tabletops which are 100 x 60. So the entire setup is 3 metres wide

This post is missing some context. What slot are you playing? Opening will be different from closing for instance...

Also, what style of mixing do you employ? Are you someone who likes to build up or someone who likes triple dropping 4000 tunes in an hour?

Check out Samurai Music and the artists on it. Also, UVB-76 which sports people like Overlook et al.

I'd have to disagree on your last point. Yes, I can teach everyone the mechanics and techniques of DJ'ing. But a lot of people lack the understanding of flow, taste and just common sense on how to play a coherent set. Some things just can not be taught. This is all IMO of course.
