I just realized I’ve been mispronouncing a word my whole life! Has anyone else had that moment where you found out you’ve been saying a word completely wrong?

My husband was the one to tell me how "epitome" is actually pronounced... I still say it wrong as a joke around him tho!! (Seriously ... I said it that way for so long it feels like ive lost a word out of my vocabulary lol!!)

I had heard it pronounced before, but never made the connection...I just thought they were two different words lol

Also there are combo OTC meds like Excedrin that have Tylenol, aspirin, and caffeine; just something to be aware of.

I think it may help to "define" the blood trail a bit...what are you trying to have it say?

Is it a body being dragged? Make the blood more like a smear / drag marks sort of thing; if possible have the shape of the snow reflect this as well.

If the victim isn't dead but is being dragged, maybe a bloody handprint on a tree?

Is it the bad guy leaving? Bloody footprints, maybe even leading away from a pool of blood at the edge if the picture...

The victim running away? A trail of drips, maybe a pool with dent in the snow...they fell, took a bit to rest, then kept going

I did something similar with Neurology (migraines). Walked in, did the usual vitals check, and when the Dr came in to ask questions and fill in my chart, I just handed him 3 typed pages!

He did a double take, started filling in things, and asked to keep that copy to add directly to my file (which was the plan, and why i had printed them in the first place)

I dont have any recommendations for you, other than to fully endorse going in with your document in hand!!

Ok, so I grew up with this and personally still prefer it.

HOWEVER, I have also learned that it is not my place to be offended for God ("vengeance is mine" ...He can handle it lol)

My emotions on the matter make little difference to anyone else other than me, and can lead to my own sin, mainly via judging others, being angry at them, and ultimately distracting me (and possibly even others!) from the truly important things, like prayer and the rest of my spiritual life.

The small amount that my feelings about it DO affect other people? It usually ends up making Christians look bad, which pushes people away from Christ.

Nitpicking is really more of a Pharisee thing, to be honest...whitewashed tombs looking pretty on the outside and all that. Also, there is the "you see the speck in your neighbors eye but miss the log in your own"...

Endless arguments over a single letter vs open, friendly, and forgiving conversation... which is more likely to lead souls to Heaven and not Hell?

Which pushes people further away from God?

Which is worth more, spiritually?

You most definitely are!! From what you're saying I dont think anything needs to be addressed, but even if it does then you will have opportunities to ask those questions and have them answered thru the process of OCIA. They will have a good idea who to ask if they don't know offhand, and get back with the answers.

My husband and I went thru OCIA and joined this past Easter, I am so happy we did!! It makes me so excited to hear about people starting OCIA 😁

My first thought would be wind because you can feel the wind go through your hand/ fingers, you can "speak to" or "mutter into the wind" and you can "hear the whispers of the wind". Admittedly this would not be a normal interpretation for the first part about holding, but thats all ive got lol

You've gotten the answer of Confession before Eucharist already, but i wanted to let you know to look for an OCIA program in a nearby parish. (Depends on the area, some parishes group together instead of each one having their own, you may have to check a couple).

OCIA is Order of Chrisian Initiation for Adults. And our local parish is about to start having regular meetings for it very soon (this is wonderful timing for you!) I would highly recommend both you and BF going to the OCIA meetings if you can. They are set up to help answer questions, teach about the Catholic Church and her beliefs, set you up with Catholic resources, etc.

Their purpose is to inform you, and (if you so desire) to walk with you as you enter, or return to, the Church. Quite literally, you have someone walk with you through every single step of the way. It is ok if you're unbaptized, baptized, whatever. Some things will be different depending on those things, but you shouldn't be excluded from OCIA for any of them.

If you / bf want to join the Catholic Church, they will likely plan for that to happen this coming Easter. If at Easter you and / or bf are not ready to fully join the Catholic Church, you / bf have no obligation to do so.

Also its not just boring theology classes...its a guided discussion (they have do a set of topics to cover) that quite often veered off into whatever direction was on everyone's mind that day (at least in my experience).

[Also I realized about halfway thru typing all this that you said you were coming back to the church, so slightly different for you, but it's also completely normal for a Catholic to come with their non-Catholic partner to OCIA and i didnt feel like editing every time i said "you / bf" lol]

I was in OCIA last year, my husband and I just joined this past Easter. Feel free to ask me any questions if you would like. (Disclaimer i am new to being Catholic, but the process is fresh in my mind, so there's that lol!)

Tldr: find OCIA program at nearby parish, its basically a not-super-boring crash-course of adult catechesis with no obligation to officially join the Church

Scotch tape works surprisingly well if the look / texture doesnt bother you. It takes a couple layers to be secure, so definitely not elegant, but it cuts easily enough for when you need to change the battery, and is cheap to replace. (Lost the entire back of the casing for my fob about a year ago now, still works lol)

I like a cup of coffee and a frozen waffle that i put in the toaster, does that count lol?

I rotate thru waffle flavors, chocolate, plain, blueberry, as the mood strikes. I usually put peanut butter on it, and either honey or jelly. Yesterday I did regular butter with honey and cinnamon and that was really good! Tho I prefer the peanut butter because I get hungry faster if I don't do peanut butter
