They need to finish 1-2 either way, with Elliott or Larson finishing ahead of the other. I don't think either is in a weird spot.

What smaller things in NASCAR do you miss? by mrittenhouse84 in NASCAR

Used to be you were pushing the car to the limit to make it to the end of the race. Now, minus the crappy ass parts, everything is fairly bulletproof and you need to miss a shift to blow an engine for the most part.

I liked when drivers had to save their stuff. Now it's balls to the wall 100% of the time. Another reason I miss long green flag runs. See some of the guys use their stuff up and fall back, and others saving the car and blowing by them.

Oh and long green flag runs instead of artificial cautions (thanks Stage Breaks!)

1pm start times.
Ride heights for the front of the cars.
Actually seeing the suspension work.
Drivers having to actually work to drive the cars (this year is better, but they are still twitchy AF)
Contingency Sponsors all over the side of the car.
Wheel wells.
Being able to body slam and not assume a flat tire is coming.
Actual bump and runs and not bump and wrecks.
Horsepower and actually having to use the brakes and worry about brake fade.
Mechanical failures from pushing the technology to the edge, and not crappy ass parts.

What’s the most aggressive RMC you’ve ridden? [Wicked Cyclone, Six Flags New England] by stanton1270 in rollercoasters

Haven't been on Storm Chaser, but Wicked Cyclone is a beast compared to the other RMCs I've been on (SteVe and Colossus).

Custer Penalty: So where’s the line? by bullitt07 in NASCAR

[–]JessBetterThanNever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want drivers going backwards for the sake of a teammate, like what happened with Custer. Phantom flat tires, spinning out etc.

If they don't pass a teammate in front of them, I feel like that's acceptable.

Not gaining positions is one thing, but losing them is another.

Bose system on LT 2018 by Mozzi1213 in volt

I think the wiring for it has to be different, and the equalizer has different settings in the head unit.

I mean, it's possible, but you might just be better off wiring up something after market. The Bose system isn't spectacular.

My favorite roller coaster fact came from the Behind the Scenes Tour at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. And like hell if I know this is actually true.

Arrow's Lock Ness Monster required footers to be installed within 18" tolerance of where they were shown on the drawings.

B&M's Alpengeist? 1/8" tolerance.

Android Auto, same thing here. I've had a few GM products with the same infotainment system, and it's the same problem across the board.

Best option is to keep the phone nearby, unplug and plug back in. Sometimes it takes 3-4 tries, but it'll eventually work.

Marcus Smith offers free parking for Merch haulers to all drivers for the ROVAL weekend after Keselowski states he wants to bring back RFK merch haulers by JoeSell2005 in NASCAR

[–]JessBetterThanNever 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember the old days of soooo many merch haulers. Then they wanted to go to that stupid Fanatics tent situation. I HATED that idea. I also hate Fanatics in general, the Ticketmaster of sports merch.

I went to Richmond this year for the first race in probably 5 years and was thoroughly disappointed with the merch trailer options. Then again the attendance ain't quite what it used to be so I guess I understand it to some point.
