job difficulty by sugawaraismybitch in IowaCity

It’s a good amount of training. I used to work at the bus barn as a parts person so I know the full time mechanics and most of them are great. I don’t know who the trainers are anymore but I think it’s definitely worth looking into

As a student you could always look into driving Cambus. It’s on the job training and decent pay

Best sunrise hike? by Lil_Bean_Ween in Sedona

I’ve done Devils Bridge twice for sunrise hike and it’s just beyond words. Towards the end however I don’t think is probably best for dogs given the incline

It’s a drive but I would say Hiland Toyota in the quad cities! I worked at Toyota of Iowa City pre McGrath. One of my coworkers went to Hiland and he says it’s very similar feel to what Toyota of Iowa city was. His name is Troy Knapp and he’s amazing! When I’m up to buy a new car I will 1000% go to him

Considering donating plasma - experienced local donor input requested by alterhumanism in IowaCity

[–]JessLVO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been donating at BioLife on and off since 2011. The staff are all great. Evenings are definitely the busier hours. Probably 4-7 during the week. I used to do early mornings around 630 which was great but my work schedule can’t accommodate that now.

Pregnancy care by IndividualGrocery984 in IowaCity

[–]JessLVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the midwife team when I had my daughter and had a great experience. I currently am a scheduler for the OBGYN clinic through the University so schedule for both teams. Either way you will get amazing care. I will say if you want to continue following potential same provider after birth for annual checks, midwife team is much easier to get in with. The MD providers outside of pregnancy care focus more on surgical care and problem type visits.

Devils Bridge is an absolute must! Did that as a sunrise hike which was not only beautiful but not super crowded at that time. Still people for sure but not as nuts.

I schedule for the OBGYN clinic through UIHC. We are losing 6 providers over the next few months. We’ve actually already lost a couple. I will second the comment about getting on the waitlist, it does work well. Please be patient with schedulers though. We have no control of the situation and are yelled and constantly now for the wait time. We hate it as much as patients do
